another great Boon product!
very well made - don’t be fooled by the multi functionality! It has a removable cone for different bath drain types and heights! Works great! Kids also love to play with it. ⭐️ ????

My 18 month (now 2 1/2 year old) loves to use this spout everywhere BUT it collects mildew
We got this for our 18 month old son to use in the bath because he loves bath time and playing with water in general. My son loved when I would cover the tub faucet opening with my hand to create more pressure and redirect the water towards him. So, we mainly got it because it helps to project the water away from the faucet. It's also meant to dispense bubble bath soap and protect your little one from hitting the hard tub faucet. My son is now 2 1/2 years old and he still loves this spout and uses it on all the faucets in the house so he can reach the stream of water and wash his hands by himself. It isn't meant for sink faucets so it doesn't snugly fit on them but it can still be placed on them to help redirect the water. The spout is kind of like a big clip. You squeeze the top and bottom on one end together and the other end opens. It fits very securely on our bath tub faucet while leaving the shower diverter accessible. Although the shower diverter is accessible, I wouldn't recommend leaving the spout on for extended periods because it has a tendency to collect mildew. The spout has a lift up flap opening on the colored part of the spout for the bubble bath soap to go into and a push descender on the bottom end of the spout to dispense the soap. The top colored part of the spout is hollow. My son enjoys opening the little flap and filling the hollow part with water which he then drains by pushing the dispenser button. The only bad part about this spout is the tendency for it to collect mildew. The colored soap dispenser part is not designed to be taken apart from the rest of the (white part) spout. This makes keeping the spout dry really difficult for us. When we do use it we dry it the best we can, shake out all the water from the soap dispenser and leave it upside down on the windowsill. The mildew accumulates in the soap dispenser and in the little crevasses in the mouth of the spout and around the springs. The mildew has actually gone into the white part of the spout and cannot be removed. We haven't used it in awhile in our attempt to give it some sunshine to naturally kill the set in mildew. We left it on our windowsill for about a month and when I looked at it recently the white part of the the spout had gotten discolored and yellowed significantly from the sunlight. So basically, with the mildew stains and yellowed areas, our spout is looking pretty haggard. With all of that said however, I would definitely recommend this spout if you live in a place that isn't humid (we live in a very high humidity place) or don't have to deal with mildew. It is an overall great non-toxic spout with a sturdy design, and equally important, my son loves to play with it. It just so happens in our specific circumstance, we're having mildew issues.

Great BUT...
Great product, however, my 12moth old finds it so cool looking he pulls it off to play and chew on it...now it is a toy. But recommend if your child doesn't pull it off.

Definitely needs some improvements but great concept
I want to start by saying as a bio mom of 3 and a foster mom of 5 all between the ages of 2 and 13 I love this product and company and I have many of their products. But it deeply Bothers me when bathtub products rust. It’s meant for the water it shouldn’t rust. I used for only a month with the amount of rust pictured. The bubble dispenser only works about 50% of the time but I don’t mind because I don’t care about that feature. The button sticks so the bubbles automatically leak out, I have to do a lot of wiggling to get the button to pop back out. The installation is extraordinary and I love how easy and secure it is. The spout is pretty good I’d give 8/10 I wish it would fan the water out a little more but I’m pretty happy with it.

It leaks all the soap out
I like this product for what it is but the reason I went with this one in particular is the bubble bath dispenser I was really excited about but I filled it and left it overnight and in the morning all the soap leaked out of it I tried several different soaps thinking maybe the first one was too think but they all leaked out and were empty by morning not super happy with that but over all good product

savior for gross tub drain area
The only bathroom in our rental home is disgusting. Has been for years…tub finish is old and gross making it super hard to clean. The fixtures all calcified and rusted through. Mold comes through grout in wall tiles. When you’d run the bath faucet, the water would break pieces and particles off of the shower drain area , contaminating potential bath water. Now that I put in new faucet and fixtures & filters, the only bath hurdle was the gross tub drain that’s installed super ghetto and is unable to be removed. This starfish is a savior and allowed my (now 4 year old ) daughter to take a big girl bath for the first time. We have had to put a kids foldable tub inside bath tub all these years. I also purchased the bath faucet waterfall cover to help divert water pressure away from drain area. So this starfish doesn’t have any “suction “. I wasn’t even sure it would work, but it does! once you start filling with water, it stays in place and is large enough to cover entire nasty drain area . It’s a friggin bathtime savior. Hopefully it holds up over time…we couldn’t use our tub without this little baby . my teen son also uses for bath lol

Unimpressed
It doesn't really attach to the faucet, it just clips around it and it is pretty loose. Super simple for a small child to remove. I'm constantly keeping my kid from pulling it off. Also don't be fooled by the pictures showing a fun flat wide waterfall. It just sort of splashes out if you have the flow at maximum. If at minimum flow, it makes kind of a narrow arched steam, which my kid does like. But you have to slide it all the way nearly off the faucet to angle it just right. And then if you turn it on at full speed after that, it splashes out everywhere and out the back. All in all, not as advertised and not as expected. But for a limited use, with a very small child under close constant parental interference on low low flow, it's okay. Meh.

Best spout cover
I like that it uses a clamp so it sits more stably on the spout (compared to other types where they just sits on the spout). There’s a compartment to put soap in it but I find that useless. The soap doesn’t stay in the compartment, it doesn’t bubble up. So you just pour soap into the compartment and it immediately goes out, but it’s easier to just pour soap into the tub directly lol. Anyway, it’s still great just as a spout cover. Also it extends the water flow which I find really nice.

Will not prevent toddlers from draining tub
I purchased this item after reading reviews as an attempt to stop my 1.5 year olds from draining the tub every minute. After several attempts to position this I finally figured out the trick - you must fill the tub first and then apply the suction. I put my boys in and in about 3 seconds (seriously) they had removed this and began draining the tub. Boy was I disappointed. I have come up with a solution however, thought I’d share. Fill the tub, position this cover over the drain. Next place a suction bath mat over top. They can’t seem to figure this out (yet!). Photos included of what I mean - with and without water.

Nice concept
I like the concept of this item. It serves multiple functions: dispensing bubblebath, waterfall effect and faucet cover to protect little heads...and it isn't unattractive. A couple of stars off for poor packaging that's nearly impossible to remove and fails to cover and protect the silicone from staining and picking up odours during transport and warehouse storage. Also, 2 little plastic parts on the reverse of the bubble bath dispensing button broke off while trying to remove packaging. I still haven't figured out if they were functional as the unit works without them. If they were/are important, then they should be constructed in a more solid manner. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this item, as it serves its purposes nicely.

While I love the waterfall effect it creates and the soft material ...
This water deflector is only okay. While I love the waterfall effect it creates and the soft material to prevent bumps from the faucet, there are several issues that keep this product from being perfect or even great. It is easy to take on and off; however, it just doesn't sit very well on our faucet which is like every other standard tub faucet. It requires some finesse to fidget it to the right angle. The contact with the faucet is at an angle so while it gives flexibility to get the angle just right for you, it also makes it a bit annoying to constantly fix. Once you use the bubble reservoir and press the button, you mess up the angle and have to fidget it back into the right place again. We have a pull down diverter on the tub, so this definitely doesn't work well on that. Luckily, it's a snap to remove but then it's a pain to put it back on again. The main reason why this faucet is only okay, is the fact that the soft silicone pieces became permanently mildewed despite regular cleaning. And even after regular cleaning, it has become permanently stained with yuckiness so this deflector was not for long our household. We switched to the Skip Hop whale spout cover. While I bought this Boon one first thinking it was much better, I am so much more satisfied with the Skip Hop whale than this. Plus the Skip Hop one is still in use with no sign of gross permanent mildew stains.

Good spout cover and waterfall
Works well As a spout cover to prevent baby from injury. The waterfall effect is ok, the best part is it allows the water to flow further so it is able to fill a baby bath tub that the tap was too short to reach to fill. Baby seems to like the water pouring effect. It is also not childish looking like some other kid friendly spout covers. Have not had rust as others have - but we’ve only been using it for a few weeks. Update - been using for months now, very mouldy, springs rusted etc. Terrible for baby bath, have to look at other options.
