Beautiful but a little tall for me

This is a beautiful bench for such a modest price. My wish is that it was a little shorter, I'm 5'3" and this is an inch or two taller than I like. The corner edges aren't rounded making them a little sharp and lessening the bench's utility for me. I don't use this in my shower but if I did, I wouldn't leave it in there and would probably dry it or at least place the feet on a towel or mat to dry out. Anything you leave in water or wet environment will have something growing on it sooner or later no matter what it's made from.

A good enough but not great product.

After reading others' reviews before my purchase, I got what was I was expecting; a useful but imperfect product. Pros: - This was one of the narrower but taller benches I could find. At 6'1" with bad knees, the height was important to me. - It seems sturdy and after using it in a tub that gets used once or twice a week, it still feels like a solid piece of furniture after a few months. - It has stood up to the water and has not molded. Perhaps because it has time to thoroughly dry between uses. Cons: - Since it is marketed as a place to sit, I was disappointed to realize how sharp the edges of the wood are. I would have expected the top surface to have slightly rounded pieces that are sanded smooth. I sit on a towel when using it. - It slides around in the tub enough to be dangerous. I bought rubber padded feet to stick to the bottom to keep it from sliding too much. - As a piece of bamboo furniture, it has to be handled carefully to avoid slivers. - The edges of the indented part of the top don't always line up. It doesn't affect utility, just appearance. - It arrived with a few blemishes (see pictures) but since it lives in my tub, it didn't seem necessary to exchange it.

Bamboo Stool

Great product... Very sturdy! Wood is just beautiful! However, was very discouraged with assembly. The box came taped up, obvious that it had been previously returned. I don't think it was inspected as to the reason why it was returned, put back into rotation, and shipped off to me with it's defect. Due to the "MacGyver" in my life he was able to fix the problem. It could have been returned, but needed to use it!

Great shower stool

It's the perfect height for me to reach my feet in the shower. I often found it easier to pick my feet up for cleaning them and my lower legs in the shower, before getting this product that meant awkwardly balancing on the wet shower floor or putting my feet up on the walls, which was equally awkward. With this stool, I only have to bend over a short distance to scrub my lower extremities. I'm not sure how long it will last in a shower were it's exposed to soaps and direct water on a daily basis. Supposedly bamboo and teak are the best woods for this type of environment/use. Time will tell as for durability. For now though, it's perfect for what I needed, and completely fulfills my expectations.

Looks nice, but not waterproof.

I've been using this bench in my shower for a few months, and it is NOT waterproof. The lacquer finish is almost completely worn off the top (the seat). I never sit on it, I only use it for storage. It did look nice when I first got it, and it may hold up better when it's not getting wet on a daily basis. If you're looking for a shower stool, you probably need teak. This bench was also difficult to assemble because the screw holes weren't lined up. My boyfriend had to drill new holes.

Cute But Time Consuming To Put Together

Just what I wanted, small but cute! It is true that putting it together is very frustrating since the screw holes don't match up...I had to end up drilling new holes and having to brace the lower shelf. WAY, WAY, WAY TOO MUCH HASSLE PUTTING IT TOGETHER! Product is nice looking but buyer be aware - it will take lots of time and effort putting it together.

Good Price, easy to assmble, sturdy

Pros: It works fabulously, easy to put together and reasonably priced. Cons:(I am not using the bench correctly, so the cons are completely user error but...) I have it for our outdoor shower to enable my mother in law to sit down, if she needs to while she showers. The bamboo has lost its shine relatively quickly allowing for some discoloring. I lightly sanded it and sealed it and seems to be good. Also there was a complaint that it was not comfortable to sit on for an extended period of time...I do not think it was intended for that. Overall I am very pleased with the piece and it is holding up to misuse

Sweet little bench.

This bench was really easy to assemble, it took just fifteen minutes! All the pieces were well finished, perfect fit and no rough edges, important for a spa bench. It seems to be quite sturdy, the bottom shelf is a nice plus.

Cute enough but poor quality. The tool stripped the bolts during assembly. Then, there was a wobble to it. Took it apart and reassembled it - still wobbles. Can't disassemble it now as tool is completely stripped. At that price point - and for such a simple stool - the measurements/cuts should be correct. UPDATE: Two months after using this - it suddenly collapsed under me. My hand was cut on the sharp edges and I had a jarring injury to my lower back for days. Do not recommend!!!!!!!!
