Buy Your Own Plant First, Decent Kit Otherwise

I misread the title. You do have to purchase your own plant, then this kit can be used to keep it watered. After doing this with a succulent we ran out to buy because it didn't come with anything to plant, we did get it up and working. This is a nice kit, but I actually prefer their mushroom one where it has everything you need and the mushrooms grow from the base.

Very easy

Very easy instructions. Kids loved and continue love doing and getting the text messages for reminders of what to do next. We choose to do aloe vera. It is thriving. Would be a 5 but we haven't received our reimbursement as promised for the purchase of the plant and we submitted many weeks ago. So either lost or very, very late for the rebate. We would have preferred a coupon like the one for the betta fish for the water garden. That went smoother than this rebate process. But that is our only complaint. Great learning for the kids and good downloads for homeschooling projects. Made in US.

I believe its working

I'm just not sure about this pot, I'm pretty sure it's working well for my Christmas cactus a friend gave me that was already hydroponic. I really didn't like the instructions they were for only if your cactus was in dirt already (which mine wasn't) I wish they had instructions for already hydroponic plants so I hope I did it right. The pictures shows that it comes with green bean seeds. It doesn't (3rd picture) must be for a different product. I have always had a hard time caring for plants so I'm hoping the cactus stays looking healthy it's doing good so far.

Not really giftable

It came with everything you need to start growing. It works but doesn’t look very attractive and I would not gift this to someone. Definitely not worth the money
