Good Value

At the time of this writing, this kit is a good value for a kid set expansion. For $61 you get two manual turn outs bumpers and some various track straights and turns. In the current market remote turn outs cost about $30 each.

RR expansion!

Easy to put together but it has a couple flaws. One track had a rail end sticking up which derailed my train and I had to replace it. The other is the manual switches which tend to cause derailment over the frog. All in all it was typical Bachmann quality but not perfect.

4 pieces missing

4 pieces were missing from the set I purchased. 2 straight tracks and the 2 bumper stoppers. Everything has to be there. Before they sell them. Otherwise put it in the description.

Not great

Product description states turnouts are remote, they are not. Both turnouts are manual & train derails at them every time. Also, engine seems to have a much harder time pulling cars now. Will attempt troubleshooting but probably returning this track set.

Missing documents

Product is pretty good — tracks snap together easily and create a smooth connection for the most part. However the box indicates that there is a 32 Page Track Plan Manual included and it was not in the box. I requested a replacement and the new one was the same — no manual. Not a big deal but being new to model trains, I wanted a bit of information on track layouts. The original listing had a picture of the box showing the information about the manual but the picture in the ad has since been changed.

Get it on sale ..switches are manual might be able to make electric . Just extra track for a layout

The turnouts (switches) are NOT remote as stated and there is no lanning manual

Would have been nice to know that the manual was not included and that it included manual switches rather than remote as shown in he description. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars. Don't blame Amazon,they didn't write the description or print he box. Replacement on the way. Amazon rep very courteous and apologetic. THANK YOU AMAZON! To bad Bachmann doesn't have a customer free phone number for complaints, since this is their error.
