Extremely well made and sturdy. I had to replace two cheaply made seat bases but I don’t think I will ever have to replace this one!

Doesn’t work.

1 star because it’s supposed to be adjustable hight but when I sit it in with the knob turned as tight as my hand can get it, it eventually slides down to the lowest hight. Now I have 6 new rather large holes in my boat floor from trying to replace my old seat bracket. It’s still usable at lowest hight but not comfortable for me 5’11”. Trying to get a refund

What else would you install?

Yes Atwood makes a lot of boat product's, some iffy stuff, but not this boatseat pedestal! This one doesn't shift of sink on its own, solid and adjustable were you need it. The instillation is straight forward and logical design. I've purchased a dozen of those gas operated junker's, this one is perfect, sturdy, and will outlast me, can't say that about most pedistil seat mounts.
