Warmer than I thought

The vest is light yet surprisingly warm. For me, the medium was just right and I was able to wear the thin, long sleeve T-shirt...would not go much thicker than that though. Love the pockets...pockets that are large enough for my phone, keys and wallet. The stitching looks good and consistent. Waterproof? Yes. The rain just rolled off and soaked my pants and the car seat. Lol It has gone through the wash a couple of times now but I held back on the dryer and opted to hang dry it. Longer yes, but didn't want to chance inadvertently burning the polyester. The red color has yet to fade. It is not the most flattering vest out there but I like it - great for grab and go, walking the dogs, or just to wear around the house.

Sized slightly smaller than expected

If you plan on wearing anything under this (I mean who isn't?) that is heavier than a jersey weighted turtleneck, or long-sleeved t-shirt, go a size or two up. Other than sizing, the color is great. The construction seems to be very good, but that is something that only time will tell. I will say I've washed it three times so far, and I recommend washing on a normal cycle, but put it in the dryer on perm press for only ten minutes or less. Just to get any wrinkles out of the shell and get some of the moisture out of the vest. Promptly put on a hanger to finish drying. I do it this for two reasons 1) because I have a long waist and have an issue with things shrinking UP when I dry them all the way, so much so that things start to looking like a crop top and I'm someone who has no business wearing a crop top! 2) Not drying all the way helps preserve the integrity of the fabric, I ordered this in the copper/rust color. Like I said, I've washed this three times now and the color is still as vibrant and rich as when I received it. I do recommend this item, but just order it a size larger than you usually get for a perfect fit!

Order Up if You Have a Larger Chest Size

First, the excellent. I really like this attractive, dark red vest. It is extremely well constructed; all of the seams are hidden, so it looks just as nice on the inside as it does on the outside. The vest is extremely warm, not only because it is well filled but also because of the comfortable fleece lining. I absolutely love that the warm, fleece-lined DEEP pockets have zippers. And the zippers are extremely well hidden in the seam. The vest has both front zip and snap closure, a drawstring at the waistline if you'd like to make it conform to your shape a little more, and two interior pockets. I like the longer length because it keeps me from getting cold at my waistline. And its constructed using recycled materials?? Fantastic! Just about everything about this vest is 5 stars. My only issue with the vest is that women like me with larger chests will need to size up. I can get it zipped, but it's just too tight across my chest. If you wear a D (maybe even a C) like me, go up a size. This is a five-star quality vest for sure. Unfortunately for me, it's a four because of the fit in the chest area.

Very warm, but no waistline

This is so lightweight yet still so warm and cozy. However, there is no waistline and makes me look 20lbs heavier. That's ok because I plan to wear it at home anyways.

Some good features. Dark Red is a vibrant wine irl.

There’s a lot to like about this Amazon Aware Puffer Vest - Dark Red. First, construction is solid, there’s some durability, with a sturdy front zipper and snap overlay, good stitching. There are two side pockets, two inside pouches, and cinches. I love the convenience, the vest design gives an easy layering option - so practical with extreme temperature changes. For notes, the pockets sit directly on the side seams so a bit of a reach. Also, I’m 5’5” 130 lbs 34 A/B, a medium, and on me there is a bit of a bell shape, I don’t fill it out on top. The length also hits a bit long, it completely covers my rear. I wish the pocket zippers had sturdier grabs. I ordered Dark Red as a second choice, but am really pleased. Irl, the red is a vibrant wine color, pairs well with jeans or black. The product pics lean more to a brick red.

Super puffy and warm

This is a great puffer vest. It is very warm and super puffy. I would caution that it's not super flattering if you have larger hips as the way it sits lower on you waist make your hips look larger. The zipper and snaps and lining are all really nice quality. It fits true to size. I LOVE that it has pockets on this inside that are fleece lined. there are also zippered pockets on the outside of the vest. I got the grey color. Looks somewhat muted in color and perfect for winter - it will go with so many things!

Runs small, not for short people!

This seems to be a well-made item, and suitable for some. But for me it was WAY too small all over and much too long (but I am 5'3, so that is not that unusual). And the grey has sort of a greenish tinge. Product not for me, but might suit others well.
