Good product for what it is

It's a very sizeable cable lock. However, the cable is only half the total girth, the rest being the flexible outer coating. To be honest, I've read enough reviews and seen enough videos to know that cable locks won't do diddly to keep thieves from stealing your stuff, so I seriously considered sending it back. However, I figure if my scooter has enough locking mechanisms on it to make it not worth the time and effort, this was worth the cost. Besides this cable lock, I also use a disc lock with an alarm, and the New York Fahgettaboudit chain with a u-lock and padlock... plus a plain brown tarp to throw over it. But that's just when I park it at home. If I go out, I'm not going to take this cable lock with me; it's too bulky for how little it will prevent theft on its own. But it's not a bad layer of protection to have at home.

Instructions would be Nice

After unpacking the lock I unlocked it with no problem. Then I put this on my log splitter and tried to lock it, it was liked it was locked. Could not insert the cable as it was locked. It would not unlock, There are 2 red buttons on the side, didn't know if they had anything to do with locking, NO INSTRUCTIONS. Went to check reviews on Amazon and I found a similar situation and I brought my cable inside and played with it for about 10 minutes and got it working correctly.

Satisfied

I wanted something to keep my motorcycles from being stolen. I put cable thru cycle frame connected to snow blower and Portable generator inside a locked garage. The low lifes might steal my cycle but they are going to have to work long and hard for it.

Does the Job

I bought this to secure an outboard motor to the trailer frame for security. It looks tough and seems tough but I know a determined person with a correct tool can overcome most any security. It functions easily and I like the protective coating so it doesn't mar my motor or trailer. Hopefully I won't be disappointed in it and find my motor missing, if I do I'll update my review, lol.

EXCELLENT!

These are very strong and I have purchased before. They last for years, even out in the hot sun of Maui. It was finally time to buy some new ones after about 10 years. You can't go wrong!
