Probably the best plastic gearbox ever made. But it still can't stand up to 2S forever.

I'm taking off one star because these really can't stand up to 2S forever. Then again, the ARRMA gearbox is actually quite simple and well-designed. Don't be afraid to open it up. Take pictures as you disassemble! On 2S, this is basically a consumable item and the gears will last perhaps 8-9 months on 2S. Note that only the two smaller gears ever break (actually, they degrade slowly, eventually the teeth wear off, leading to a runaway cycle of increasing heat/friction and finally melting). The large gear is actually the differential and I've never seen it break (because the smaller ones always wear out beforehand).

Good

I used as an upgrade with a brushless system. It seems to be holding up but I can tell it has some minor slippage. But only when I'm really laying into it.

Plastic plastic plastic.

Stock PLASTIC gears. If you upgrade to a more aggressive gear and brushless system probably want to have a couple sets of these on hand OR upgrade to the metal 2013 (older) transmission.
