Superior Performance Broom & Dust Pan Set - 195
Works well and looks good. FYI, the handle of broom measures 33 inches. Add 4" to that for brush-part ensemble and the total height (from floor to the top of brush handle) is 47" The (brush) handle clips to the handle of the pan and has a loop for hanging. The pan measures 37" (in open position, flat on floor measured to top of handle) It closes automatically when carrying it. In open position, flat on floor, the pan locks into place. The lock-feature allows one to use a full size broom, if that is preferred. I found the swivel feature of the broom-head to be an annoyance. I remedied that by using electrical tape to "lock" it in place... problem solved. All-in-all I like this product and I'm glad that I purchased it.

The bottom of the dustpan is made of very light material that doesn't hold it's shape well enough to stay flat on hard surfaces. Even if you push down on the handle, you can't make the lip conform to the flat surface--pretty annoying when it takes 10-12 sweeps to get all the dust into the pan. The long handle and the broom holder are nice. I wouldn't buy this again, I'd spring for a better dustpan portion that lays flat on a flat surface.

It really is superior!
I was tired of the 'dollar store' type brooms. I was purchasing one every few months because of the broom bristles falling out or either not being stiff enough to sweep thoroughly without having to go over the same area multiple times. I also need the dust pan to have a long handle, so I don't have to bend over or squat. This broom & dust pan set is perfect for me! It feels very sturdy, plus doesn't look bad either! In the past, I wouldn't have considered paying this much for a broom/pan set, but after the last 4 or 5 brooms/pans I've purchased (all different brands), I realized the quality just wasn't as good as they were in the past. In fact, the last one I owned, the dust pan handle broke in half with gentle use. If you're like me, and tired of cheap brooms/pans that don't last, give this one a try!

Misleading dimensions
I wanted a broom with a large head, and thought this would fit the bill when I read the dimensions. But those dimensions are for broom handle & dustpan, but definitely not the head. The actual broom head is at best 7 inches. That's a little broom to me. I haven't used it yet, so its performance might still be superior. But if you are looking for a larger size broom, keep looking.

A Portable Broom & Dust Pan Set that can Do the Job...
Excellent Collapsable Broom and Dust Pan. We put our household items to the test since we travel 100% of the time and take along limited household items so we can clean our hotel rooms ourselves instead of having people come in every few days to do it for us. Since we have limited space in our travels, we need items that don't take much space. This broom and dust pan set does a nice job of folding flat and yet easily pops down into place when it is time to go to work. It was surprisingly well made and has nice bristles that actually catches the dirt when sweeping the floor. This set is definitely worth the money...

Rubber lip on dustpan
Disappointed - initially no problems, and we were very pleased. However the rubber lip has come off. It is still functional, but more difficult to push the debris into the pan. This broom was purchased one year ago, but has had minimal, seasonal use. Not stored out side, no heavy use or abuse. Need to replace, but will look elsewhere.

Buy the OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set instead
I recommend the OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set instead. The Oxo works much better. This one has a "suggestion" of a hair catcher, that is basically just a ragged edge on the dustpan. The OXO has an actual COMB that works much better to dislodge hair and dust bunnies.

practical for cleaning up everyday messes
Bought this to replace our old set. Study construction and no assembly needed. Be prepared for a huge box, the actual set is great sized though. The broom is less firm that my previous one but it cut at angle so it makes it easy to get into corners.
