Two pieces

I *love* the shape of these, but I wish I'd noticed they were two piece, the scoop attached to the handle. Makes for harder cleaning and just isn't as pretty, if you care about that. I look at them a lot because I cook every single day so I notice. But they fit in tiny jars, have a nice long handle, and the 3/4 tsp is very nice, though the 1 tsp seem enormous to me for some reason ? I removed the TBSP and attached it to a 1/2 TBSP I already had from a plastic set so those two are separate and I don't have to look at 'which is the tsp/TBSP' when I'm in the middle of coordinating dishes or whatever. TBSPs on one chain and tsps on the other. At least they match the two piece measuring cups I bought as well-doh!

The good comes with the bad.

The Good: The size and shape of these spoons is great for getting into small spice jars or tubs. The measurement is stamped into the metal so it will never wash off after a trip through the dishwasher. an excellent selection of sizes. The shape makes it easy to hang individually on hooks. The Bad: The weight of the metal means they can be bent very easily. Be care in storage as the spoon can be dented and you will not get a true measurement. The handles separate. I have had two handles suffer this. One side of the two "tongs" will separate and spear you as you search your drawer for them.

Shape is good, strength not so good.

The narrow shape of the spoon is great for getting into narrow bottle openings. I've tried using the measuring spoons for peanut butter and other hard-to-get substances and the handle ends up bending when I try to dig out these substances. 11-29-2016 UPDATE 6 years later and I am still using the same measuring spoons. I upgraded the review from a 4 to a 5 because 99% of the time I only use these spoons for dry powdered spices, or dry seed spices (NOT peanut butter or some other sticky substance - if I need to get peanut butter out, I just use a regular spoon and eyeball it).

Good for my purposes

I'm not convinced they're 100% accurate on the measurements, but I needed something I could hang inside a cabinet, and these definitely fit the bill. They've been working, and as long as you clean them as soon as you're done using them, they'll stay in good shape.

"stainless steel" is rubbing off

I just purchased three of these on 4/04/14, b/c at $8.00 something, so how can you go wrong? When you cook and bake as much as I do, I am always needing more than one measuring spoon. I noticed a problem right off the bat when one of the larger measuring spoons came out of the dishwasher with food residue, while everything else was sparkling clean. Then the second time, it went into the dishwasher, I looked at it again, and low and behold, the "stainless steel," was peeling off! It's sad when you can't even trust the stainless steel from China anymore. Is nothing made with integrity anymore? Let me say, I don't blame the poor Chinese worker who made this product, rather I blame the ones who put profit before pride.

Great product

I use these all the time! I like the simplicity of this measuring spoon set. The best part is that the labels are etched in- they will not wash off like many other spoon sets do. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a durable set to use for years.

I love the shape, easy to get into small jars, but one side of the handle on my TBSP already broke, I've had them 1 week:(

The way these measuring spoons are shaped is perfect for getting into slimmer containers, like those little spice bottles in the spice aisle. Very sturdy stainless steel. The only thing I'd want is sturdier handles. The spoon head is soldered onto two seemingly sturdy stainless steel columns (very hard wires, essentially) as a handle. These handles aren't all that comfy when you're trying to scoop through heavier stuff like mollasses, and I'm worried they'll eventually warp or bend. If they were a solid single handle, at least partway down the length of the handle, I think it'd be sturdier and more comfortable for the hands, while leaving a large loop for the keyring.

These are great! Even the largest can fit into narrow jars, and they are very easy to read and clean. I like them enough that I picked up another few sets to keep around and in the RV. I didn't ever figure I'd write a review praising measuring spoons so heavily. Edit:The welds on several of the handles has broken. Still okay, but just okay.

This is the perfect measuring spoon set

This is the perfect measuring spoon set! I love that it has those in between measurements like 1/8 tsp and 3/4 tsp, as I use them often. The spoons are also long and narrow, so they actually fit into my containers without having to remove the lids or transfer the contents into new containers after purchasing. I will be buying at least one more of these.

These do what you need but the spoon portion is very weakly attached to the handle so it can feel like you're going to snap it in half. If I ever need another set of spoons I'll opt for something that is a 1-piece construction.
