The top does not stay on

Got this for my 4 yo granddaughter and she loved it. The colors are bright and everything seems very durable. My only disappointment was that the sieve, which in the picture looks like it should attach to the top of the bucket, does not. It would be great if it did. Then you could keep all of the other pieces in the bucket and they wouldn't spill out while carrying it from place to place. Other than that, it is an ok sand toy.

Cutest sand toys

These sand toys are very durable and cute. Only downfall is the lid won't close unless you force it. I think the lid is warped or a little small.

Good, but not great

I was excited to get this after reading so many great reviews. The pieces are nice and the tools seem pretty sturdy. There are a few things I don't like about it though. First, it's made with a small handle on either side, so you need to carry it with two hands. If there was a longer handle or the lid was made differently (my next point) this wouldn't be an issue. Second, the lid is difficult to get on. I think one of the pieces is slightly warped. If you work with it for a bit it will sort of snap on. However, it comes off very easily - like if the bucket turns sideways the weight of the tools pop it off. Overall, it's not a bad set and we will definitely use it, but it isn't convenient to carry.

We love this

The bowl and utensils are sturdy and work well. The only fault that I have with this is that the lid/strainer doesn’t stay on well so the utensils spill out whenever we try to carry it or store it in the car. We usually just put it into a bigger bucket or bag so we don’t lose any parts. My kiddos love pretending to cook with this at the beach and at home. I wish I had gotten 2 while they were on sale. They are the best sand toys that I have bought.

Lid doesn't stay on

This is such a cute set for the beach. My daughter loves it but the lid doesn't stay on!

Bought to go with the other Melissa and Doug sand toys

I bought the crab shovel and pail as well as the Melissa and Doug sunny patch cookie baking set and some more sunny patch Melissa and Doug sand toys. I got carried away but it's all such good quality and fun imaginative play for the kids to be occupied in the sandbox through the summer and the beach too. They spend alot of time playing there so I thought this would make it a little more fun when they're making their mudpies. Just a little extra that I know they'll use along with their usual shovel and pails.

Fabulous set. My daughter absolutely loved it! Great quality, very convenient to pack it all in and take off to the beach. Combined it with the Melissa & Doug cupcake set, and we had our perfect sand play set. Only downside - the lid doesnt lock, and keeps coming off.

Cute sandbox toys

Cute little sand toy playset. My toddler daughter loves it. Seems like sturdy plastic so far. My only issue is that I wished the turtle back lid actually secured to the bowl. Would keep the toys tidy when not in use or when travelling to the beach.
