Not the best of the 3 brands I tried

I tried a few brands (JBM, Triple Eight, 187 Killer). I sent the JBM pads back immediately b/c they were so uncomfortable. I also returned the Triple Eight set for the following reasons: Triple Eight & 187 Killer comparison: Triple Eight (size Medium) - the plastic knee and elbow caps were very large and didn’t contour to the knee/elbow shape. Very little padding under and around the cap. On skates, the plastic pressed against my knee when I bent my knee slightly. The bottom of the knee pad gaped open with a bent knee. I thought I would prefer the Triple Eight knee pads because they have a lower profile, but I found them uncomfortable and clunky. Killer 187 set (size S/M) - The plastic caps are rounded to mimic the shape of the knee and elbow. The elbow cap is small with a lot of padding on all sides. Although the knee pads appear bulky in photos, they feel comfortable when skating and the extra padding offers good protection. Other reviews state that these pads force your knee into a bent position, but I found I could mostly straighten my legs in my skates without discomfort. Sizing: Petite, knee circumference 14 inches; elbow 8.5 inches.

Easier to manage and more adjustable

I bought another popular brand and thought I would only be able to wear them bare-legged or with leggings. These work better because the knee pads have a total of 4 adjustable straps. The elbow pads have have a soft, elastic sleeve to slide your arm through with 2 adjustable straps each. This is the skateboarder set, but I love it as basic safety equipment for outdoor roller skating.

Pretty good

Elbow pads are too small and don’t fit so I don’t use them. Knee pads fit good overall they are pretty good but maybe not get these elbow pads.

Great Protection

This protective gear works great! You might want to measure your limbs WITHOUT pants or shirts on, because they are just a LITTLE too tight--but that was MY fault! Easy on and off for the knee pads. This great grandma feels really protected from any falls on her Mini Segway!! You should see me GO!!!

Affordable

I like that they have straps but they would always roll behind my knee. They are okay, using them as back-up pair.

Top notch protection for a good price

These are legitimate TripleEight pads. They're extremely comfortable and rock solid. I took a nasty slam last week and skinned both elbows, knees etc. I wish I had these when I fell, because the damage wouldn't have been so severe. I've been skateboarding for 14 years and pads have always been seen as "uncool," but safety is more important than how other people see you. You've only got one body, so preserve it. If you're an older skater and you're considering protective equipment, buy these ones.

Worth the price!

This set of elbow and knee pads are definitely top quality and worth the extra cost compared to the cheaper sets that are priced for half the cost. You definitely get what you pay for. My 6 year old daughter wears this on top of her pants but underneath snow pants so her classmates don't' see them. She enjoys ice skating a lot more now because falling on her knees unexpectedly doesn't hurt anymore. They are a bit large for her but are able to set the Velcro straps such that it overlaps to compensate and it stays in place.

sin duda la mejor opcion en precio/calidad para un adulto. No son de la mejor calidad, pero cumplen y me parece que es acorde al precio pagado

Bestens geeignet

Mir passen die Teile und ich fühle mich sicher damit. Allerdings fahre ich auch NICHT DOWNHILL oder VERT, aber von einer 1,50m hohen Quater hab ich den Drop-in schon mal verpatzt und meinen Knien geht es immer noch prima. Bin 1,70m groß und ca 80kg und die Schoner passen. Wenn ich jetzt im Herbst allerdings mit Jacke skate, muss ich die Ellbogenschoner auf den Pulli aber unter die Jacke packen. Aber wenn sie mir mit Jacke passen würden, wären sie mir im Sommer ohne Pulli auch viel zu groß. Kaufempfehlung
