Good quality strong pump that is not expensive

Used it to replace Anderson storm door pumps with peddle that holds door open. I've gone through 3 of the Anderson supplied pumps and they are of very poor quality. Sure this pump doesn't have a peddle but it does have the normal piece to hold door open you just have to slip it on below putting it on the door. The adjustment screw is a little fussy, I suggest you lubricate your door handle and latch with WD-40 before adjusting the pressure closing screw. Decent pump for the money.

Missing an open door lock mechanism

The unit works great, but I really don't have enough usage time on it to give it a fare rating. A disappointing feature is that the closer does not have a built-in lock mechanism to keep the door open.

seems vastly superior to the competitors product

Seems vastly superior to the "wright products V2010" equivalent item of this kind.. that i had purchased and had it break after not even a week of use. i'd suggest avoiding the competitors product like the plague and use this one.. you'll be less frustrated and angry.

Stopped working under 3 months

It was fine for two and a half months, but now it doesn’t work at all. Our door stays open unless we push it closed. It actually now provides a bit off force the opposite direction making it harder to push close that it is to open-of course because it’s broken.

Nice heavy duty closer

This is not one of the cheapo closers you get with a storm or screen door...very well made and finely adjustable...I am so glad I paid a bit more for a higher quality closer...

Not as heavy duty as I would like

I have had to replace this twice on my screen door. The piston part works as expected however, the metal part that is actually screwed into the door jam is not heavy duty. After a few weeks I've noticed it is starting to bend and puts the door out of alignment.
