Works Great but Flickered and Burned Out 2Y

I got this in 2018 and in 2020, it burned out. It started flickering and caused a brown-out in other areas of my house. I thought I had an electrical problem. I called an electrician $$$$ and they removed the socket, put in a regular bulb. Problem solved. I secretly thought he was wrong and whatever little he did in other areas fixed the problem, so I put it back in about a month later (tired of pull chain in closet) and it popped again!!! So I'm convinced it just burned out. Remember that the electricity to the unit is on 100% of the time, it's just controlled by the remote - so it's hot powered even when it's off. Pull chains just take longer to burn out. So if it stats flickering, remove and replace with bulb or another unit.

Awesome product!

The yarn pull chord on my closet light broke recently, so I bought this. It gave me a great updated look and saved hundreds of dollars as I did not have to get an electrician. Love it!

Worked very well until it didn't - loud buzzing

As others have written, it made it to about the two year mark with very light use. Started buzzing when I turned it on, ignored it a few times, then the switch stopped working with the light stuck on. Had to unscrew the whole thing. May try again, I did like it.

Great product, but...

I installed two of these in hall closets with pull chain lights a couple years ago. One still works great. One started buzzing loudly. Had to replace. Problem was in base; remote switch was fine. Didn't matter what kind of bulb was in, new battery in switch...still buzzed. I bought 2 new ones (one as a backup) so the convienience is still worth it to me. But I remain a little uneasy...

This is a game changer for terrible light fixtures

Two of the closets in my house have those awful light fixtures that are basically just a bulb hanging from the ceiling. Both of those fixtures are also barely attached to their boxes, making pulling the string a dangerous game. I bought one of these to try out on a closet I was redoing and holy cow I did not expect it to be as amazing as it is. "Installation" is as easy as replacing a lightbulb. And the fact that the actual switch can be screwed in OR attached with adhesive is great. Plus, it looks like it's a real wired switch, not just something you screwed into the wall. It's not a smart device, so there's no messing around with trying to get it connected to the internet or downloading a bunch of apps to find the right one. I'll definitely be purchasing another for the other closet when I get around to redoing that one.

Works 80% of the Time

The concept is really cool, but the product is not the highest-quality. The OFF button requires 2 or 3 presses to work. The socket did NOT work with the 6.3-Watt (120V) bulbs we had from IKEA. Also, the switch does not work at times. Sometimes it's because a person might be nearby, other times it's just not working. It claims to have a 50-foot range, yet my lamp is only 12 feet away. For the $35 I paid, I was expecting a much better product.

Buzzing noise

Work great for about 18 months, helps in the closet very much. But after that time frame it started making a very loud buzzing noise and was hot. Like others kind of have to just give her to it. Will try something else that is a little cheaper anyway.

Easy to install

I have a storage room that only had a single bulb with a pull chain, towards the back of the room. Not ideal. I saw this product and took a chance on it. It was really easy to install. Just remove the bulb, screw in the fixture, place the bulb in the new fixture, then peel and stick the switch where you want it. I put mine right inside the door, so no more fumbling through the darkness trying to locate the pull chain. I bought a second one for my pantry. When you have 2 you need to program them to different settings, otherwise one switch will turn on both lights. The instructions for that weren't very clear but I figured it out. Overall, it was an easy and cost effective solution.

Happy with my purchase.

It works pretty good. But it occasionally doesn't respond right away , Sometimes you gotta give it a second or two then push the button again. Still happy with my purchase. It's a cheap and easy way to add a switch.

Works beautifully! It took no time at all to install and has 4 different setting. I have these light switches in two different bedrooms and they don’t interfere with one another.
