Works great! It’s soooo narrow though.

This would be most useful for someone who lives alone, or for an office break room. It’s great to set your drying dishes on, it’s just a touch too small for the amount of people that live with me (namely all of the bottomless-pit teenagers who dirty a million dishes). It’s super durable though, and the peaks and valleys that make up the surface keep air moving around your cups and silverware, helping them to dry faster and making pooling water easier to drain off. It is a bit too stiff to roll up unless you secure it with a band, otherwise it will open up flat again. Which isn’t a problem for me, as I don’t ever store it, it’s always being used for something. But for the price and the quality you get, I’d recommend this to those people who don’t have a sink full of dishes constantly. Or if they make a larger size, I’d recommend getting that one.

Compact Drying Mat

This drying mat is very compact. It’s ideal for a few small items (a large dinner plate won’t fit). The quality is great, as expected from Kitchen Aid.

Great drying mat for small spaces

I don't have much drying space for my dishes, so this narrow drying mat is very helpful. It arrived quickly, and I put it to work right away. Washing it is easy, and it's thick and flexible, yet sturdy. And I have just the right amount of room on my counter space next to my sink to place it when I need it. I like that it has the little hole at the end, so I can hang it up when not in use. Glad I got it, and I don't have to pile up my tiny dish rack anymore.

Nice features

I usually throw things on towels to dry, but it's annoying to have to wash and dry the towels for various other uses. Picked up one of these silicone mats, and immediately I was a fan because of the ridges -- they prevent ponding of water, such as under an upside down cup. The loop is also great because I can wash and hang dry it easily. Other silicone mats without the hanging loop are annoying because the bottom sides are usually flat and create a wet seal, which extends drying time (requires you to go back to flip it). No such problem here! Overall pleasantly surprised. Who'd have known such small detail could make such a large impact? The designer paid attention to detail.

get the job done

i bought this drying mat to use in my kitchen but found out this was too small for my use as it can hold max of 5 cups. will probably look for a larger alternative for my need

Nice addition to my wet bar

This size of this drying mat works perfectly for my wet bar because it's narrow oblong shape fits on the smaller bar-sized counter top nicely. Stem ware sits on it without "wobbling" and glasses dry quickly because of the ridged top. The reason I reason I subtracted one star is because folding the mat doesn't work so well for me; it pops open when folded and fills a drawer. This isn't a big deal for me. Because it looks so nice, I just leave the mat on the counter top and I give this product 4* (I Like It).

Nice, small drying mat

I got this drying mat to use as a space saver over other larger mats next to the sink. It worked well for that purpose. It doesn't hold much due to it's smaller size, but it is high quality. I realized after using it a few times that it would be a perfect drying mat for some rock painting crafts I am doing with my daughter and it has been repurposed for that and it is ideal. I would say this is a perfect product for apartment living or someone with just a smaller kitchen, but it has a multitude of other possible uses as well. It feels like silicone but it is not listed as being silicone, so avoid exposure to heat.

effective for small stuff

I occasionally hand wash a batch of cutlery, to extend how long I can go between dishwasher loads. I've always laid out a towel to dry them on, which means flipping them over so both sides dry. This drying mat is perfectly sized for that use, with the channels keeping the cutlery from sitting in their own drained water. It does seem a bit overpriced for how simple it is. I do wish it had one end open, instead of a full raised perimeter, so it can be placed against the sink for self-draining of the channels. Mine arrived with Warehouse Return paperwork, which wasn't indicated as being the case in the listing.
