Get yourself something nice, and by nice i mean these boots.

I agree 100% with all other reviews that state you should get a full size smaller than your real size. Im size 10 mens, had to get a size 9 and it fits perfect. The width of the shoes are snug, not uncomfortably snug, but not too loose either. I recommend using these boots for a few hours, maybe 5-6 hrs throughout the day. They're not the type of boots you want to really take on for a full night of dancing, or walking through Disneyland for a whole day (I did, trust me it's not a comfortable walk). Pretty much I don't think these boots are something you want to wear on a day you'd be on your feet a lot. You could take them out to fun places, but be aware that the insoles are leather, so they don't provide the best in terms of comfort on your heel. So like I said, wear them for minimal foot activities. I do love them though. The smell of that leather is just so appealing.

Upset Over Potentially Purposeful Wrong Size

Instead of shipping the size ordered (9D), one whole size larger (10D) was shipped. I know mistakes can be made, but these new boots were shipped in a plane box, not the original Woverine box. I have the brown pair of these boots and I know what the box looks like. This causes me to wonder if the wrong size was not purposefully shipped, hoping I would take the wrong size. I love Amazon Prime, but was very disappointed in this transaction.

Sharp Solid Boots

I love the fact that these are made in the U.S. (MI), that Wolverine has been around since the 1800's, and that the design of the 1000 Mile line of footwear dates back almost 100 years. These boots are no doubt worth the steep price; quality materials and construction. The craftsmanship and durability of the leather is not only apparent upon first glance, but also (more importantly) when you put these on. They'll definitely require some break-in, but they're surprisingly comfortable right out of the box (given the thickness of the leather. I debated for a long time on whether to invest in the Red Wing Beckman's, or the Wolverine 1000 Mile. While seemingly very similar, I ultimately prefer the design and the history of the 1000 Milers. I ordered a full size down from what I normally wear, and still have room to spare in the toe-box should I want to add inserts or wear bulky winter socks. I can safely say I am now a satisfied and loyal Wolverine customer.

Great looking boots

Ordered black boots and they sent me brown. That said, they fit perfectly and look great. Break in not bad. Random people at work compliment me on these boots! That has never happened! You can wear them for hours and they remain comfortable. One word of caution: they tend to be quite slippery on some surfaces. They are not meant for hard “work”.
