Love this stuff, but why is it $14.49 at Whole Foods now?!

I've used this product for years for shampooing my hair and sometimes as a body wash. I have sensitive skin and allergies and love that it doesn't bother me. Several years ago, one 6.8 ounce bottle was $12.99 at my local Whole Foods in-store. I found it on Amazon much cheaper. Then, during the pandemic, I noticed Whole Foods dropped the price again, while it became more expensive on Amazon. This week, I had to buy more and saw it's $14.49 per 6.8 ounce bottle at my local Whole Foods. It's not nearly that expensive on Amazon, so I'll go back to getting it there. You've got to be kidding me, charging $14.49 per bottle! Highway robbery, even for Weleda.

This is for babies and I have been using it on my daughter and she is now 8. I have been using this product for 8 years and she has the best skin and most amazing hair. highly recommend.

Smells good!

Love how soft it makes my baby hair feels. I dilute this 1:7 ratio with water. It still give a clean feeling and gentle enough for sensitive skin. I use a dab of it to wash my face. Love it!

Qué decir de este champú-gel que no haya dicho nadie... Mi hijo está encantado porque no le irrita los ojos y es muy suave y yo también porque con esto de la paternidad uno ya no sale tanto y, yo no sé si será que echo un poco de menos lo de las juergas o yo qué sé, pero su perfume me recuerda un poco al de un gintonic, qué queréis que os diga... Eso sí, un gintonic de los buenos, de los caros.

Never again

After 7 months I can write my review. I've used this product every day since my baby was 1 month old. I always liked and used just this on her bath because of the natural ingredients. But after a while her skin started to be dry and red. At the beginning I didn't connect this with the product, I just thought her skin may be very delicate. So I just used natural oils to massage and to add in the water during the bath. But the problem became worse and worse until one day she wake up with a very bad eczema on her face, arms and chest. The skin was very dry, swollen, red. So the doctor said to stop to use this product. Once stopped everything gone in a few days. So what is the reason why my baby had this reaction I don't know, I am just sure I will never buy it again. Then if is not enough, now that I'm using another shampoo finally her hair looks clean and soft. Oh...and the price it's far less

Made cradle cap sooo bad

Every child is different but this make our babies cradle cap so bad. She had it when she was a young baby and then it more or less went. Used this for a few weeks instead of our usual stuff and her head was so bad. Thought it was my diet. Partner said change back shampoo. Did that and it totally cleared. I liked it but made the cradle cap come back and the eczema was a bit flared up too. Supposed to be really gentle but not for our baby.

Great for sensitive skin

This product was great for both our boys who suffer with eczema. It left their hair clean, nourished and moisturised. The bottle lasts a while as you only need a little of it. However the scent is so subtle, I was always a little disappointed when they got out of the bath and didn’t smell really fresh and clean. I have since started to use cheaper products on the market that do the same thing and smell much nicer

Best product out there - and I’ve tried them all !

Weleda is a brand I have grown up with and which I love. The company itself uses all natural ingredients in its products so when I had my child it only felt right to try the baby products! Meanwhile my son is now 7 and he still uses this and prefers it to other shampoos and shower gels. It is gentle on his skin (he does have very sensitive and dry skin but this doesn’t dry it out), smells nice and no itchy or painful eyes during shampooing. I have gifted this to friends expecting babies and have received positive feedback with friends making it their regular baby product too. I would wholeheartedly recommend this. Whilst it may cost slightly more than other brands, it is 100% worth it and does last longer too. If you like this, Weleda also make a fluoride-free calendula toothpaste which too is excellent for kids.
