Beautiful purple garland but has consistent lighting issues

This garland is beautiful, very full and easily covers our staircase banister with length to spare! However the first garland (we ordered two) we received had a short in the fuse and started smoking. We received a replacement in time for the holiday season but now, the other garland we originally ordered has lights that have completely gone out, just after one season. Also, the purple color lights on both strands are different hues - both pretty - but noticeable as both are strung together on the same staircase. Asking the seller for a refund.
