I gave this 3 stars because it has a balance of good qualities as well as not so good ones. The good: - It is lightweight, which is exactly what I want. I like thinner blankets and quilts as opposed to thicker comforters. - The color is nice - exactly what I was looking for. It’s a nice rust/burnt orange - perfect for the upcoming autumn season. - It is nice and big. We have a king bed, and it is larger than another king quilt we have (from a different manufacturer). - It washes up nicely. I washed it before I used it, and so far, so good. (Though I cannot attest to its longevity, as I just bought it) - It’s not great quality. Sounds odd, but I WASNT looking for a high quality (or expensive) quilt. Our 75# dog & one cat sleep in bed with us, so I can’t justify (or afford) really nice, quality bedding or quilts. I need something I can feel comfortable washing at home. - It is NOT stitched. First, I was going to put this under the ‘not so good’ side, but the more I thought about it, the more I’m glad it is not actually quilted with thread. Our current quilt is quilted with thread, and after almost a year of use, and frequent washing, the threads are coming apart everywhere. Plus, cats have claws, so there’s that. The not so good: - I’m not a fabric professional, but how is this microfiber? The description says several times that this quilt is the softest microfiber ever, but I’m not getting it. - it’s a little on the stiff side. Maybe it will soften over time. - As one of my picture shows, the “quilting” is just melted polyester embossing. The description DOES suggest that it is not actually quilted, but I didn’t catch that when I bought it. I’m fine with it not being quilted with thread, however, the melting is very uneven, and in some places, the quilt is melted all the way through. I’m a little worried how this will hold up over time. - The description severely overstates how soft this “quilt” is. For what I payed, I wasn’t expecting a silky smooth soft-as-a-baby’s-bottom dream quilt, but they sort of sold it as such. - For what I payed (it was on sale for $30), I am satisfied; HOWEVER, I would definitely have sent it back if I had payed what their original price is (around $80). In summary, I am satisfied with my affordable, thin, nice looking “quilt”, but if I were actually looking for a soft, good quality, actually quilted with thread quilt, I would have sent it back.
