Does the job and what it's supposed to

I've owned and been happy with an older Remington trimmer for close to 10 years. See attached pic. Best money spent. It STILL holds a charge for weeks between use. I use it without a guard to trim side burns, remove unwanted or stray hairs, and trim the back of my neck and square back up the back of my hair line. With the guard I tame down the chest hair or where ever needs it. I even used it during Covid to give myself a haircut because it wasn't possible to get one for so long. My adjustable guard attachment broke and I was sick and tired of holding it in position to trim what I needed to so I decided to pick up this newer model. That and figured the blades would be new and sharp another plus. So here's what I've learned, tips I'm sharing as well as opinions. First go buy blade oil and use it regularly. It will keep the blades sharp. Just run a small amount over the blades, turn it on and let it run for a couple of minutes, then you're done. The adjustable guard attachment is plastic NOT heavy duty so yes you can break it or strip it out if you man handle it or force it on or up and down adjusting the length. That's what the push button is for so just go easy with it and it will last a long time. I found out the hard way when one day it just started slipping down on it's own. I'd stripped it out as well as cracked it from over the course of time repeatedly pushing on the top of the guard itself or pulling it up by hand. Dropping it in the sink by accident a few times didn't help matters either I'm sure. Live and learn. This should go without saying but never leave the trimmer on the charger plugged between uses you don't need to and it shortens the life of the battery. Charge it up for a few hours and take it off and put it away. After using the trimmer for however long I need I put it on the charger for 4-6 hours and then take it off In my opinion I think the attachments nose hair trimmer and foil are just junk. Any brand trimmer I've purchased and tried they either catch or pull and are more pain inflicting than a convenience. Maybe others have better luck but I never have. Those looking for a close shave, this is not a electric razor/shaver it was never meant to be. It will never give you the results that one would. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and dish out the extra money to buy a full sized and featured electric razor not a trimmer. I'm rating it 5 stars taking into account as of now the battery life will be the same as my old one. Otherwise it's identical in performance. One thing I was disappointed about is the pic of the product leads you to believe the 3 bars on the handle that light up green when plugged in are to indicate the level of charge. They're NOT it just lights up to tell you it's charging that's it. If I run into charging issues or it dies or a charge doesn't last as long I'll update and deduct stars from my review.

A great little trimmer

This is my second one of these. I wore the first one out after several years of regular use. During the pandemic, my wife was even using this to cut my hair (essentially a buzz-cut). That's a bit of heavy work for this little guy, but it did fine. When just using it for beard trimming, a single charge can last a week or two, even more if I don't use it daily. The attachments for ear/nose hair and detail work make it an even better buy. I expect I'll probably buy another one of these in 5 or 6 years when I've worn the current one out.

The blade is only 1 1/2 inches wide

Works well but it isn’t as wide as I expected. It does a good job. It was chap and looks well made. I’ve used it four times so far. I’m happy with it

we have a winner

Love this thing, way better than the wall trimmer I had. Does not snag at all and gets a way closer cut. Not to mention I shaved my entire head twice and beard with the same battery life. I don't think it gets any better than this

Simple as expected

I bought this when it was pretty low in price, and I'd say it was a good deal. I needed a replacement shaver for body hair and this worked great. I didn't really need all the other accessories, but I'm okay with getting them. The teeth of the blades seem just a tiny bit wide but it's not an issue to me. At least It runs quieter than the Remington foil shaver I use for facial hair.

Good item for the price

Only used this for 2 months now. Works as described. No nicks or cuts. Love that it’s USB rechargeable. Only came with the cord and attachments though. You have to have your own cube to plug into the wall socket.

It is perfect for trimming my hair.

I like to cut my hair every few days and keep it about the same length. It lets me keep it looking good on a regular basis. I hate it highly and for a good price.

Honest review from an honest lad

Lads we all know why we look at these.... For those needing that extra TLC down Navel Road... this bad boy ain't up to the task of saving that special someone from stumbling on the winning entry of an Afro contest. Despite it's alien-looking lithium powered toughness, this Remington lacks the punch of its weaponized brethren. Even with a multiple-over, enough stubble will remain to force you back to lathering up with old 5-bladed faithful to get the precision you want and that others demand. I won't get into specifics... but if you can't handle me at my wrinkliest, you ain't shaving my head. Great for pesky nose hairs and trimming around the ears of your enemies.

From the big head to the small head.

What I got this for was to trim and style my facial hair and other sensitive areas, which is what I think it's best for. The heads are interchangeable and washable, so maintenance is easier. Don't expect razor blade closeness, but it's good for all hair types. I'm black and this machine cuts through my thick curls and does not cause ingrown hair bumps to form, so it'll work for all hair types.

Fragile beard comb

After about 6 months of biweekly beard trimming, the beard comb is completely breaking appart. It started with a small crack, and today 2 tooth broke off. I need to by a new one now because its completely useless.

Not advertsed correctly

Bought one in the USA but could not charge it over here but on one charge lasted me 6 months. Bought one identical online in the UK and lasted less than a week, I have a multi adaptor for the USA & Europe but it would not charge it. It was not listed on Amazon UK as needing an adaptor. The company, Remington, were rather matter of fact when emailed so did not rate them.

Bought this 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Bought this shaver to help groom my facial hair. It holds it's charge fairly well. Bought this in 2018 and it's still working for me. Works for facial hair, but keep in mind I do not have a forest growing on my face. For those that have a lot of facial hair or strong hairs, I'd recommend something else. This shaver won't help with those. I would recommend a Oster shaver or a Ryobi lawn mower...jk lol. For the price and intended use, this shaver works for me.
