Exactly what we needed

Our rental's well water tastes awful. Even our cats won't drink it. But we tried replacing the faucet so we could use a faucet filter and we couldn't even get the old one off. Enter this solution. I saw all the "rechargeable" ones first, all of which seemed to fail within a year. Not everything has to be electronic, for Pete's sake. This does the job just fine. Pictured is the product on a 4-gallon jug. One pump and water flows out strongly, no priming needed. One complaint is the instructions were a tiny bit vague. I spent 15 minutes trying to put the wrong end of the tube onto the unit (for anyone else, the blue tip sits at the bottom of the tube, not the top). Other than that, this serves the purpose perfectly. There's even a little plug for the dispenser tip but haven't noticed any leaking so far. I will certainly update if anything goes wrong but so far "old school" works.

Why did I Waste My Money on Electric Pumps?

Are these enormous? Yes. Do they work? Like a dream. I previously bought two other highly reviewed electric pumps, and they both died extremely early deaths, so I figured I'd go with these enormous manual ones, and you know what. I'm glad I finally did. I filled up an entire cup with just one and a half pumps, where I used to sit and hold my cup under the electric one for what always felt like way too long for it it fill up. So much so that sometimes I would just take that electric one off to pour water, for example into the dogs bowl. (yes, he gets filtered water.) On an aesthetic note, these are more of a light gray when I expected them to be white, which I'm more than okay with.

Great for 5 gallon jugs.. hahah Jugs

Great low tech option. Took it with me on a camping trip once and used it for a family party when I made a 5 gallon bottle of sangria. Cleans easy and I like how the tube goes to the bottom so you can empty the full bottle. I wish it had an adaptor for some of those 3 gallon bottles. Good stuff.

Solid product

As we work remote at our company, we got rid of our office recently and had multiple 5g jugs of Poland Spring water left over. I brought some home. Trying to figure out an easy way to manage and extract the H2O from the jugs not needing the stand which it most often used, I purchased this product. It has performed as advertised and I would recommend this pump to anyone. I am looking forward to refilling the jugs for camping and boating trips and using this pump pull the water out. Easy set up and a very functional device.

I’ve been using it for a while and it works great. You have to pump harder as the water level in bottle lowers, but thats just physics and isnt a problem.

BOTTOM TUBE NOT ADJUSTABLE: FALSE ADVERTISING

How does this item rate the "AMAZON'S CHOICE" designation? Description claims this pump fits a five gallon jug, with the bottom tube being adjustable. It is not adjustable - you have to cut it to fit! But there are no markings on the tube to indicate where to cut it. Not acceptable! And to state the obvious, once it is cut, you can't use the pump for a larger jug! I truly cannot believe that anyone would claim that having to cut something to size is synonymous with its being adjustable. False advertising, plain and simple. SO annoying. Back it goes. I will not forget the name of this company: Brio Universal - consider yourself boycotted.

Works on 4 different water containers from Canada

There is a thick rubber lining inside the coupling device I get the feeling this thing can fit and airtight any water container you throw at it as long as the container neck is round and of the standard diameter sizes I tried 4 different water containers, Walmart ones, Costco ones, Superstore ones, and another one of unknown origin from Canada. It all worked! My drinking cup can be filled with 3 - 4 effortless pumps, good product, exactly what I wanted. I just hope it lasts.

Affordable

I use it with 18.9 L bottles and it still works perfectly after using it for almost two years. It is a great alternative to having a water cooler machine. It doesn’t require much cleaning. To have cold water, I just pump it into a water jug and keep it in the fridge.

Works perfectly!

The attachment tightened well over my regular 18L/5G bottle. It pumps strongly if you push hard and will adjust well to less pressure as you make sure not to overfill your glass or bottle. No dripping, though if you bump the bottle it will sometimes let out a small leak of water, maybe 1/8 of a cup max. I've gone through two large jugs so far and it's working perfectly.

Best $ I have spent on camping equipment

I think this has to be the best $ I have spent for any camping equipment we have used it all summer from filling water bottles to doing dishes. The neck fits both jugs we have and is easy to assemble. The pump works like a charm and it’s easy for the kids to use to. Great product and great quality. Arrived early too!
