Great product

I was very happy with this double rods. I have nothing in common with a handy man but I was able to put the rod perfectly tight on the wall and got the curtains hung perfectly in one go. The double rod was sturdy and the curtains looked perfect. The double rods is simple and stylish in brushed nickel, just like those you could find in the Parisian stores. This is all good.

Beware of buying the "used/returned" items

These are my favorite curtain rods! We have them on every window in the home. When it finally came time to add curtain rods to my office windows, I opted to buy the lower priced rods which were likely returned. However, one of the rods were missing the brackets! I called umbra, got told a replacement would be sent. Never received it and had to order brackets. Anyway, the curtains rods are amazing, just buy it new or wait for deals.

Beautiful rod but not perfect, needs better design.

Gorgeous rod set, easy to hang. Only issue, and it's annoying is the center inner rod on each. There's a lot of play so it moves easily inside til you tighten screw in bracket. Also, depending on curtain weight, this rod could be a bit stronger.

Single to Double Serendipity

We were very happy with the Umbra single rod for the sheer curtains in our living room. Later we upgraded our TV so then we wanted to add light-blocking curtains to reduce glare on the screen during the day so then we needed a double rod set up and decided to stick with Umbra. Luckily we could use the existing holes we originally drilled for the single rod which made installation a breeze. It wasn't part of our decision-making process when selecting the double rod but a great stoke of serendipity.

Good but something you should know

I bought this double curtain rod because we had curtains hanging over our large window that shows right into our main living room, but we needed an extra set of curtain to cover up the whole window. I was so excited and thought it would be a simple install. Which it was for the most part. I was excited because the drywall screws and the screws that come with it were both high quality, so I knew they wouldn't strip easily. But when I screwed in the main screws into the drywall screws, they would not screw in all the way. There was about 1/2" of screw that would not go in which meant that the brackets could not hang. I tried with so much force to get them to screw in and they would not budge. I got my husband to try to screw them in and they would not budge. We thought that maybe the drywall screw crumbled if it hit any wood framing and then that would make the main screw not turn, but when we took the drywall screw out, it was completely fine! We aren't sure why this happened but it clearly wasn't working so we ultimately had to take out and not use the drywall screws, but this meant we had giant holes in our wall that we had to spackle and paint over, and then just use the regular screws in a new spot. This was supposed to be a quick install but it ended up taking probably 3 hours. Everything else is nice and as expected, but hopefully this review will save you some time and sweat.

Good price- cheap scuffed finials

The price for the curtain rod was pretty good, but be aware that the finials are plastic. Mine arrived scuffed and cheap-looking. The rods seem to be of pretty good quality. For the price, it's not too bad. I would have preferred non-scuffed finials though.

Great rods but…

They look great. But the amount of issues I had trying to install them was ridiculous. If you’re going to use wall anchors, DO NOT use the ones provided. They will destroy your walls and they’re a pain to screw your screws into.

Great quality

I’ve purchased other curtain rods that ended up bending over time with the weight of curtains and I was tired of replacing them. I wanted better quality and although these were a bit more money than my previous choices, they are solid and seem like they will last a long time.
