Perfect bag for travel

I took this to France and did not worry. Everything was secured with the locking zippers, it is the perfect size to carry what I need and when I picked up a few small items.

Amazing purse for travel

This purse has been to Paris and Barcelona and still looks brand new. Safety features can't be beat and it is so bland that no one suspects that it would be a good target to steal from. Well worth the money, buy one and share it with your girlfriends who like to travel!

Great purse…just wish it had a true water bottle holder pocket on the side

Love this purse. It has a main inside pocket, a side zipped, and on other side it has a 2 open cell phone size pockets and a pen pocket and an outside pocket on each side. That is the perfect number of pockets…so I can easily keep straight where all my stuff is located. I would have given it 10 stars if it would have had a true side water bottle pocket. I tried a narrow water bottle at store and it would not fit.

Comfortable and Secure

I used this bag for a month in Mexico City and it was exactly what I needed. The bag is large enough for a Lifestraw Go filtered water bottle, glasses in a case, sunglasses, and a long-sleeve top or compressible puffy jacket. The zippered RFID pocket is large enough for a coin purse and passport along with credit and debit cards in their little slots. I really liked the pockets for organizing everything, not too many and not too few. The included flashlight came in handy a few times. The outer water bottle holder is small and only good for a 16 or maybe 20 oz disposable bottle, which is why I had to keep the LIfestraw in the main compartment. The main zippered compartment and the front-facing zippered compartment each have a latch on the zippers so you don't have to worry about pickpockets sneaking them open. I definitely felt worry-free with this bag in crowded situations, including the metro at rush hour.

Great bag!

We traveled through Europe for 2 weeks and through tourist areas where pickpocketing is bad with no issues. It hold alot of things too! Comfortable to carry and the strap adjusts which was nice when my husband was carrying it. This will be our travel bag from now on!

Overall liked the bag.

This is not my first Travelon bag. Overall i was pleased with this bag and it worked well on a recent trip. It was easy to access my items in the bag. While I didn't use all the safety features, I am happy to have them. The only reason I didn't rate this bag 5 stars was for cosmetic reasons. Immediately upon using this bag, the material around one of the exterior zippers started to flake off. This makes the bag look much older than it actually is. While the blue in the picture isn't the true color, you can see how the material by the zipper is flaking off.

My 2nd Travelon - every day all purpose bag

I used the bag for a few months now before submitting a review. This is my 2nd travelon. I used the first one every day and it finally show wears and bears after several years of usage and this one is a replacement. I love it just as much. Travelon is perfect for city living in UK. There are many compartments with zippers. I can stay organized and still have easy access to mobile phone, train/bus tickets, headphone, mask, keys...and everything else I haul around. This style is slightly smaller than the Classic model. However, I can still fold a lightweight scarve or even the compact waterproof poncho/jack and stuff it in. I have many other bags, but Travelon is the one I end up using every day and not just for traveling. Many reviews complain that the water bottle compartment is not fit for purpose. I wanted to share the photo to prove that wrong. the zipper is in L-shape. Other users might not have opened the pouch completely. Once it is fully extened, normal small bottle of water would fit just fine.

Fantastic Bag! I use it everyday & not just for travel!

I already had a messenger bag that I'd been using for everyday. But I just returned from almost 1 full week in Montreal, and I wanted a RFID (Radio Frequency Interrupter Device--at least I think that's what the abbreviation stands for!) bag for my trip there. I have another Travelon bag already, so I knew the quality would be good. This bag is the perfect size. I got it in the "Charcoal" colour. There's an external side area that's meant to hold a slim water bottle. Ideally, that section would hold a 500 mL bottle of water or a very slim 750 mL water bottle. I have a travel-sized umbrella there. Inside, the bag has a small flashlight attached to a column of the bag's fabric. So you can use the flashlight to shine light into the depths of the bag! There's plenty of storage space and 3 zipped sections: 1 inside, and 2 on either side of the bag externally. What sets this bag apart from many of its competitors are all of the safety features. The fabric is a very tough, water-resistant, ripstop fabric that is "cut-proof." That's not such a "thing" in North America, yet in Europe it's common for thieves to have Xacto knives to try to cut into a woman's handbag. Except for 1 zipper, the zipper "pulls" [those little tabs at the end of a zipper] can attach--like a carabiner--to the side of the bag's strap. This is hard to describe, yet I think Travelon has a little video that shows this. This is why Travelon bags are a little more pricey. It's worth the cost for peace of mind! As for the colour, my first choice in this style of bag was the burgundy, actually. Unfortunately the burgundy was out of stock when I bought it. In the end, I'm grateful I bought the charcoal. It's a "medium" shade of grey--not too light & not too dark! So this colour goes with everything, just like the black or navy shades, and yet it's a lot sleeker looking than my previous messenger bag! I highly recommend this bag. It exceeded my expectations.

Not accurate colour, not a bad bag though.

The bag is not teal at all. In the photos, the front looks teal and the back looks blue, but the entire bag is actually blue. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or not (I'd possibly switch for the black if it wasn't $15 more. In person, it looks like a bag that comes with a Tilley hat (aka suuuuper travel-y, if that makes sense.) I definitely wouldn't use it as an every day bag and I think while traveling, it would make a tourist stand out more. The security features are great, but the mesh in the bag makes it a little heavier than I expected (and it doesn't squish down as much as I'd like it to.) The fabric is also a lot sportier than I expected - it makes a swoosh sound when it brushes up to something. The main compartment is fairly roomy. I put my iPad classic, liquids ziplock, wallet and passport in it and there was still a little room left for some small items. It's a good little bag if you're looking for something VERY casual. I think for me, it's a little TOO casual, as I only like to take 1 purse on trips, but need one that won't look out of place in nicer restaurants, etc.

Excellent travel bag - very roomy

My other Travelon anti theft bag finally gave up the ghost so the obvious choice was to purchase another one. I am a small person and didn't want anything too big so decided on this bag because it had two large outside zippered pockets which are so handy for safely holding items without having to open the large main compartment. Middle compartment with the RFID pocket is large and roomy. Easily holds passport, boarding information and any other items that you would not want scanned. It's a plain bag, no embellishments and the anti theft strap is very sturdy. The water bottle pocket is very handy and it zips closed when not being used. It easily holds a 500ml water bottle and I had no problem putting it in/taking it out of the mesh pocket (I don't understand the complaints re the size of the mesh pocket). I chose the charcoal colour which was preferable to the black and purple and it looks classy and will go with any outfit. Looking at the bag I would classify it as more of a Messenger Bag in looks and function, but still looks good enough for everyday use. The material has a very slight pattern, hard to see unless you stare at it, and is made of a very strong nylon anti theft material. For the size the bag is very light weight so does not weigh a person down. Love this bag which will hold everything I need on trips and everyday, even a nylon rain jacket! Perfect for the winter as it'll hold gloves and scarves. Gave it 4 stars because I'd have liked more colour choices, but still very happy with the charcoal.

Best Purse I Ever Owned!

I just LUV this purse! I spent much time browsing for a new purse and this is the one I decided to choose. I was thrilled with it right away :— it is much lighter than heavy leather and is more sleek and stylish in appearance (to my thinking). It tends to bead away rain and hardly absorbs it! I bought it to use as a cross-body purse but around my city, I wear it comfortably with the strap doubled over one shoulder. There are many pockets and decent room inside, it carries my glasses case, heavyish iPhone, all my many cards, medicine, comb, makeup etc. with room to spare. It is an attractive size and I recommend this product HIGHLY! PS. The part for holding a water bottle did not hold any bottle I could find so I just gave up BUT I still like this wonderful purse except for that aspect.
