Nice boots but no hooks for the laces at top.

I have been buying Red Wing boots for years. Lately their prices just keep going up and their quality is going down. My last two pairs were about $230 and were not comfortable and did not last particularly long. I wear them every day as a commercial carpenter. These Timberland Pro boots are very similar in look to my Red Wings and they have the thermal insulation and waterproofing which my Red Wings have. I wear a size 9 and these fit well in that size. So when I wore them the first day and got through the day without having to change back to my old boots like I did when breaking in my Red Wings, I was thrilled. I have had them a few months now and from what I can tell are no less durable or comfortable than my Red Wings and were about $100 cheaper. I do work on my knees a lot and so the toes are starting to wear. But my Red Wings did that too. So for comfort and quality at this price point I can't say enough good things. However, there is one big drawback. These boots have eyelet holes for the laces all the way up rather than the hooks on the top two rows. This to me is a huge design flaw. Every 6" boot I've owned has had the hooks. I never really thought much about it until I got the Timberlands. They are very cumbersome to lace up and take off because of this. When I first got them, I thought I had found my new boot to wear and re-order for years to come but the lace situation has changed my opinion on that. I will wear these boots until they wear out but I think I will have to keep searching for something else next time, unfortunately.

Solid footwear for the cost.

I tried this style boot on in a box store so already knew it would fit. They only stocked the wheat nubeck tho and I need a color that hides stains better for work. I ordered the brown oil treated and am very happy with them. The leather is a bit more stiff yet at day 3 they are fairly broken in. These did come with anti fatigue inserts. They seem ok, I will probably switch them out for something with a bit more arch support.

Muy buena calidad

Excelente botas, son muy pesadas pero muy cómodas, te protegen de torcerte el tobillo ya van 2 veces que me salvan de un esguince, mantienen tus pies secos y calientes en climas fríos, el único pero sería la suela, no debería ser tan alta ya que eso hace que pesen y que parezcas integrante de Kiss.

Me desilusionó…

Una mala terminación en la base de la “lengüeta” hace que el calzado no se convierta en el preferido de un niño y menos si tiene problemas de movilidad o se es diabético. Este “pequeño” error o detalle, le generó una laceración en el empeine… días de uso: uno; posibilidad de re uso: NINGUNO!!!????

Excellent price & great quality leather boots!

I just received my new boots today, and I ordered size 10m, which fit perfectly. Amazon.ca has provided me with yet another quality item and I didn't have to make an annoying trip to a mall!!! The brown oiled leather is excellent quality, as well, the thick rubber sole and treads seem to be high quality, and I am sure that my feet will survive the coming Canadian Winter months in comfort!!!

Comfy but doesn't last.

Very disappointed by quality. Boot came away from sole after 2.5 months of regular wear and now my feet get soaked. These are supposed to be sturdy work boots. My "fashion" timberland boots lasted 2.5 years of the same kind of wear and tear.
