Quality okay but...

Very happy with the quality of the Pole and Mount and it's what I expected. Was very disappointed with screws that came with the 18" model. Instructions said to drill a 1/8" hole for the screws. When I tried to screw in the first screw it snapped and chipped the gelcoat. I had to drill out the screw and spend another $8 on stainless bolts washers and nuts. Bolts washers and nuts and a backing plate comes with the longer models but only screw come with 18" version. Taylor Made should give you the option of bolting with a backing plate on this model too. Another small annoyance is that you have to use tools to remove the flag from the pole.

Great quality and easy installation

Great quality and easy installation. A great addition to my boat. I've run a couple days with it so far and have had no issues. Others have commented that the set screws which anchor the brackets can dent the pole; I also found that to be the case (specifically where the lower bracket was anchored at the factory for shipment) but you really have to be looking for it to notice it.

Poor design, even though stainless steel

the 18" flag pole is sturdy, but only because I had to redesign it. drilled a hole in the bottom of pole to secure the pole to the plate. the two things to hold the flag, might as well toss them out. replaced them with more sturdy ones. the top of the pole will fall in the lake unless you glue it in........all in all, way toooooo pricy for what you get and if you don't modify this it may end up at the bottom of the lake.

Super high quality stainless steel flag pole

Heavy, great quality stainless steel materials with even stainless steel mounting screws for the flag. Usually these flag poles have those clips to attach the flag, but the screws were easier and nicer looking. Have gotten many compliments on the flag pole from my boating friends. I cannot comment on the included socket base, as I did not use it. The base appeared similarly constructed.

Nice Product

This Flag Pole is a nice product and matches the rails of my 2008 Sea Ray 330DA very well. Only wish the flag would swivel and it should come with a rail mount (only comes with a hard mount), which you have to purchase seperate (#690) for $25.

SOLID product!

This is one BIG A$% flag pole for as bow rail considering I have one welded to the rail already. May need to switch it up to the radar arch just to balance the boats look. TOO big for a bow rail unless you have a bigger boat than 45'
