Great to Find These Sheets on Amazon!
We purchased these sheets, because we recently had to purchase a Sleep Number bed, with the split king (basically two twin size beds), so I could sleep in an upright position, due to glaucoma. These sheets give you individual fitted sheets, and 1 big sheet to go over the two beds, so it seems less like you are sleeping in separate beds. These sheets have a great feel to them, and they wash up nicely. My only complaint, is the fitted sheet does not stay on my side of the bed, when it is in the upright position. This is very frustrating, because I have to keep pulling it back down over the mattress. We purchased 2 sets of these, and they both do it, so I know it is the way they are made. I suppose it could be that none of them stay on when the mattress is upright, but since they are made to go on a mattress that does this, they should be made to stay on I feel. Update 9/7/2012: We purchased two sets of these sheets - the burgundy and the gold. I have no explanation as to why it is, but the burgundy sheets feel different than the gold ones, and not in a good way. Another problem is that the burgundy sheets are hair magnets. We have two very large white dogs, and in a day, these sheets are covered with hair. The gold ones are not the same. I know, because we have looked very closely for signs of hair, and I have tried a lint roller to see what I pick up, and it is nothing like the burgundy sheets. If anyone can explain it to us, we would love to know why the difference! It is so bad, I am going to be purchasing another set of the gold sheets, because my allergies get bad with all the hair that collects on these sheets. Very frustrating. Would buy a different light color, but they are WAY too expensive. Can someone also please explain to me why a different color changes the price?

Smooth but Durable?
I just replaced my bed because I changed form a conventional boxspring / mattress to a Tempur Pedic so I figured I'd round out the entire package with a new set of sheets. I went with these because they had the dark blue color I wanted and for the 530 thread count, were the most cost effective. I've been using them for about two weeks now and I've very pleased. The fitted sheet fits the 11 inch tall Tempur Pedic matterss with room to spare. The sheets themselves are very soft and comfortable. Update - 18 AUG 2014 I dropped my rating from 5 to 3 for a couple of reasons. 1. I figured that if I'm not doing acrobatics on my bed (which I'm not) these sheets should last for some time but now at about 1 year & 5 months, my fitted sheet is useless with a 10 inch plus tear at the mid bottom. This was not torn by me but simply separated when I climbed into the bed and stretched my legs out. 2. Of course I should have started with my wife's recommendations but figured I have a size I need and a color I want. Now, after telling her about the fitted sheet she indicated that $56 for a twin size sheet set would normally be for 1000 count at least, she was surprised at them only being 530 count for $56. Not going back to Luxor Treasures.

Queen Sheets
I have tried 4 different bed sheet brands all between 400-530 thread count in a cotton fabric either egyptian of sateen etc. They are all a little different in feel. The orbelli brand that is no longer available was incredily soft from the 1st wash however it ripped after 11 months. I only paid $39.99 for the Queen set on Amazon. The Malouf brand 400 TC was the least soft and comfortable and the most expensive. JC Penny has a brand called "Royal Velvet" 400 thread count cotton which is very high quality but it's $76.51 including tax at the retail outlets. It is worth buying. I like these sheets(LUXOR TREASURES BRAND) because they are "unusual".. they cling to the bed as if it was "painted" on the mattress. They are very smooth yet seem to be of good strong fabric. I washed them the 2nd time with Downy fabric softner and they were noticeably softer. I am going to switch to white vinegar instead because I heard that Downy as well as other liquid fabric softeners are bad for you.(Carcinegens) etc. These sheets are worth buying but after a while you get tired of finding the "best ones" because if they end up ripping within a year what do you have and you cannot know how durable any one of them are in advance. If the reviews are low I select something else. JCPenny Royal Velvet is very good though at the retail outlets. If you have a great bed sheet brand and type please let me know. I appreciate it. Beautiful color!
These sheets are for the spare bed, so I haven't actually slept on them yet. However, they laundered just fine, and are smooth and soft and cool. I love the taupe color. Not too brown or too dark. It blends nicely in the soft yellow room, which is the look I was afater. The only thing is that my mattress is only nine inches deep, and the sheets will fit onto an 18" mattress, so there may be an issue with the bottom sheet bunching up. Won't know til I sleep on it! I'm pretty fussy with my sheets, and pajamas, too. Don't want any bunching up under me. I deducted one star for that.

Okay for a temporary solution...but still looking for better options (do not buy these at full price!)
I purchased these on sale for a third the normal price and would have sent them back if I had paid anything close to full price. I ordered the burgundy and other reviews mention these are a lint and hair magnet, which they are. Came out of the wash with more fuzz and lint than they had going in! I don't much care for the feel, either, as I want cool and crisp and these are a bit thicker and kind of slimy feeling, like there is a residue even though I washed prior to use. They also are not big enough for a thick mattress as they barely fit our 9" latex...if you have a thick pillowtop or such, these would never fit. stitching quality is also poor as I already noticed one corner coming apart and they have only been washed and put on the bed! I'm going to keep them for use when others are being washed, but back on the hunt for good split king sheets. Who knew that finding decent sheets would be so difficult ... Might have rethought the whole split king purchase had I known!

Attendu d'avoir lavé 6 fois avant de transmettre mon opinion tout les morceaux sont sorti en bonne condition seul hic la couleur est plus brun que taupe mais va bien avec l'ensemble housse de couette pour lequel je l'ai acheter, donné comme cadeau de noel pour ma fille. Waited 6 washes before leaving my opinion and all washed well still soft and no damage only thing is the taupe is more a brown but still went well bed set i bought, this was a Christmas gift for my daughter.

Update-Have had these for 2 years and the color has faded a bit (brown) and the sheets do shrink but the sheets are still holding up. The sheets are used in rotation with 4 other sets. Would not pay the current listed price though. (70) Decent quality for the price paid when purchased ($40), had to wash them a couple times to get the full softness. Pockets were deep enough for our pillow top mattress.
