Had the OEM belt in my Poulan crap out in about a month
Had the OEM belt in my Poulan crap out in about a month; slipping, popping off the main drive pulley, the works. While I was as downhill I could be from my workshop, of course. Not one place carried the belt I needed. Hell, I couldn't even find anyone ONLINE other than some kinda sketchy sites that claimed to sell the Husqvarna belt! Normally, I'm pretty suspect of ordering aftermarket parts when I don't know a lot about safe brands, but it was a short choice. I ordered it, paid for the quickest shipping, and installed it today. Works better than new! The original OEM belt had a bit of a slipping delay when starting, and this one has NONE. Hooning around a very uneven yard at maximum speed, changing speeds, going up and down hills, suddenly stopping or starting, and this belt hasn't given me a single problem yet.

Specs on a-zon ad are NOT what you get!
First, I bought the Bargain Belt, and it was too short and fat to be installed, or work properly. Then, I bought this belt, which showed the right (OEM) specs, but is too wide to work as is. I had to remove the drive belt applicator pulley mechanism, and grind out the bracket to make the belt work. on this app., buy only the OEM Belt, and save yourself hours of difficult work. If you do not have a fully equipped shop, do not try to install this belt your self! Variable speed drive systems are very difficult, and not really meant for the DIY'r to service.
