Excellent for keeping floors mold and dirt free

We have a large house plus 5 apartments in Costa Rica. All our fllors are tile. This machine has had enormous use since 2020 and has our floors sparkling. Our cleaning person is used to being on hands and knees scrubbing with a brush. Mold is constant challenge during the 6 month rainy season. Using a mix of 1 parts vinegar (not bleach) has totally prevented any mold. We simply vacuum and then steam mop. She uses 16 of these pads a week as the pads quickly get very dirty. We also use the steam mop on leather and faux suede furniture to keep mold away Our house and apartments have never been cleaner and our housekeeper happier

So much more convenient to have extra mop pads for my steam cleaner

I bought this 2-pack in order to have extra cleaning pads for the floor attachment of myMcCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner . I always toss the dirty pads in a hot wash with our dogs' towels and bedding. This meant that occasionally the dirty mop attachment would still be in the laundry room hamper when I was ready for it. It makes it so more convenient to have a couple of extras at the ready. As mentioned by another reviewer, the pads didn't seem to "stick" all that well to the plastic floor component at first. It was completely fine after the steam had begun, though...apparently the heat and moisture of the steam cause the fibers to swell and adhere better. These mop pads are sturdily constructed and appear to be holding up well through multiple washings. I usually allow them to air-dry, but they also seem fine when they go through the dryer...I just have to stretch the outer edging a bit to reshape them sometimes.

I got the wrong size, but it worked anyway. I love these things.

It turns out that one mop pad does not fit all Steamfast McCulloch steamers. This was larger than what I was looking for... but it worked great anyway thanks to the velcro-like attachment. I would still prefer to have the right size, but this handled the job just fine for my slightly smaller steamer. In general, these pads are great on tile! There is a noticeable difference when I use these and my steamer than any other method of scrubbing my floors. They wash easily, so if you rinse them out after (or during) use, you'll get many uses out of these. I've cleaned my floors with this pack about five times and I'm still on the first one, and it is not showing any signs of trouble so far. By far, this is my favorite use for my steamer.

Just a little FYI...

I have the McCulloch 1275 and that little machine is amazing, I must say- but I was in need of some replacement pads (as you only receive 2 with your purchase of the McCulloch). I ordered exactely these replacement pads, and was extremely frustrated because the moment I placed them on the head of the steam mop they kept falling off even though these were the correct pads?!? I decided to hang in there and steam mop my floor anyways hoping it would attach and it worked! Yes! Once the heat from the mop head steamed, it attached better the Velcro to the bottom of the pad. I was able to clean and not have to return the item. I don't know why they don't stick right away, for whatever reason it just loosely attaches prior to the steam...so just wait until your product heats up/ your replacement pads will stick and you'll be closer to a cleaner floor.

Better item than original

These pads are just a tad larger (one inch wider and one inch deeper) than the original one that came with my McCullough steamer. They stay on well. Before realizing I could obtain replacement pads, I was using microfiber cloths held on with binder clips which slipped and slid all over. And I was rinsing the one pad as I used it. Too much work. I bought two sets of these pads so I could clean all my tile floors at once; then just toss the lot into washer. So much better. I would highly recommend getting a set or two if you have a lot of floor tile.
