Very sturdy, works in a pinch

I have been using this attractive and sturdy Signature lead every day for years with my strong, medium-sized dog. I love it, and it is a must-have for anyone with a dog!

Snapped after 6 months

Leash felt good and sturdy and I was able to control my husky's pulling before it snapped, not sure what happened

GREAT leash - Wears beautifully and is super classy!!!

I LOVE this leash!!! I bought this leash for my 50lb poodle and it is perfect. The leather was a little stiff at first but after out first walk, it had softened a lot. The leash is the perfect length for everyday walking but also long enough for me to tie around my waist when I need to keep my dog close while doing something. It isn't super thick which is nice because it fits comfortably in my hand but it’s still super strong. I have a horse and I tend to bring my dog with me to the barn a lot. She’s always getting muddy and splashing the leash with mud. I just wipe it down with saddle soap and a little bit of neatsfoot oil and it’s as good as new! I love the leash because even when she gets in wet and dirty, I can wipe it right off. The leash is also super classy looking! It matches every collar I have and it works great with all the harnesses we have too! The little braid near the hook and by the handle gives the leash just enough flair without being too flashy. I also use the braid to hook the lead onto to sling around me when we’re out hiking off leash. This is a great leash and we totally love it! I highly suggest it to everyone – it’s great whether you’re taking a first obedience class or going for a walk around town!!!

Feisty bulldog tested, and it's rock solid!!!

Been several years now, with a feisty 110 pound bulldog pulling at this leash, and this sucker has held-up where others have failed. It's been wet, covered in mud, dropped in the lake several times, ran-over (dog wasn't attached!) lost for the course of an entire Winter, under the frozen leaves out back, found that Spring, and put right back into use on the same knucklehead dog, and it's still going strong. I use this leash to tether my dog in the tankwell of my anglers kayak, and that's how it gets in the lake so often. When we get near shore, I release the leash from a clip, and in he goes, with the leash...a game of his. I bought the Signature k9 harness to match...both will last longer than the dog they are used on, I'm nearly sure of that. I don't see you going wrong with this brand!

No substitute!

I’ve been using this leash for over ten years, now on our second dog. Superb quality and durability. If (unlikely) this ever needs replacement I will *absolutely* buy another! Made in USA is the cherry on the cake. Don’t think you will save $10 on an inferior Chinese product and get the same longevity!

Truly Awesome Leather Leash

Wow, this is such a beautiful, wonderfully crafted leather leash, I highly recommend it. I studied quite a few leather leash, then settle on this one for its design, craftsmanship, and value. Boy, was it a great choice! 1. No mechanical fasteners or stitching, so no dissimilar materials, the leather may eventually fail, but there is no stitching or rivet to fail. 2. The leather was sliced & braided to hold the hook as well as to form the handle loop, I expect this craftsman's approach to connection to last. 3. The edges of the leather is eased (or rounded off) its entire length, so there is no sharp edge to cut your hand or bruise your skin when rubbed. When running/walking with my dog, I am constantly adjusting the length or slack, running it between my thumb and forefinger, it's really comfortable. 4. Because there is a low level of natural friction between a leather surface and any other, such as a smooth column, when the handle end is being used to tie the leash to or wrap it around an element of construction (like post or column), you can easily make adjustments or lock it in place. Leather is such a wonderful material. It really beats everything that's out there.

Great leash for training dogs! Lightweight yet very sturdy

I have trained dogs for 30+ years and leather is much more sturdy than any other material! Especially these braided leads, They are lightweight but also keep your dog safe because of the strength of leather. Material products will burn your hands if your dog takes off with you attached. Place the loop around your wrist of your right hand and hold the leash with your left. I especially like these leashes in the 1/2” size. They fit my hand nicely and are not bulky.

Training leash

I bought this leash to train my labradoodle puppy. It is very lightweight yet durable. The clasp is just the right size so it doesn’t drag the collar down on the puppy. I like the beveled edges as it’s easy to hold in your hand.

una de las pocas correas que el perro no logró destruir.. mi cachorro tiende a masticar todas las correas sintéticas y no duran mas de un mes.. pero esta a pesar de que la muerde, no se rompe, es larga y podemos acortarla con un nudo para ir en bicicleta. compraré otra de repuesto!

Seems to be well made.

Like that it is made of leather as my dog sometimes chews his leash. Wish that it had come with a silver collar clip rather than the gold one. The shortness (4' length) has it's pros and cons. Nice if you want to have good control and go for a brisk walk but short if you wish to let your dog stop and sniff the trees and fire hiderents.

Good solid Leash for agtressive pullers!

We have an Australian Cattle dog that thinks he is the boss. The new leather leash has shown him otherwise. Good solid sturdy leash. Correct length for city walking and braid ensures that the handle will not give way! Would recommend.

Great training leash

The dog trainer urged us to get a leather leash. We got this one and it was a good purchase. Easier to grip and so far it is holding up well. I'd definitely order again.

Bonita correa de piel

Excelente calidad, muy bonita y resistente. Se siente un poco grande en mi mano (pequeña) pero mi hermano no tiene ese problema. La longitud me encantó para darle algo de libertad a mi perra en sus paseos, pero a la vez tenerla controlada.
