Could not keep my feet in these

I was very excited to receive these mules as I really liked the design and they seemed to have great quality. I was so disappointed when I tried them on and walked around a carpeted room. They kept on slipping off of my feet. I’m a regular 7 and I bought 7.5 cause most mules run short. I own plenty of mules so 7.5 is perfect size. Then I realized that the straps across are way too close to the ankles and that’s what keeping my feet out of the shoes. I wish they placed the strap on the middle of the top foot at least. The straps would not stretch enough to keep the feet in while walking. Too bad, I really liked them cause they are very well made but I sadly had to return.
