Generic Fit

This item worked as advertised. Hole patterns allow it to accommodate all brands of finders. Stem easily mounts and dismounts the rail base.

Needs altered.

The mount lines up perfect for the three screens I fitted it to with no drilling. All my bases line up perfect. My one issue is it wouldn't lock into the top of the collar it goes into? The T-bolt that holds the whole contraption to the rail was too long and the mount couldn't go in far enough to lock without hitting the bolt sticking up in the bottom. A spacer may have been missing or something? I just cut 1/4" off the T-bolt for an easy fix if you have the means. A spacer on the bottom would also work. Works perfect other than the bolt length but again, mine may have been missing a spacer part.

One of the better ones...

I've used this model for my fish finder, so I have previous experience with it. I bought this one so I can mount my switch box for my light system on my kayak. I knew it was a good candidate for the purpose I needed it for and because I have an available slide mount to use it with. I like that it has many holes so I can get a lot of screws in the right places for stability. I used #8x1/2" machine screws with nuts on this project... Works like a charm! I 'm happy with my purchase.

Revision-good customer service :) Disappointing-get ready to get into Workaround Mode

Summing up the Universal mount from Scotty: LOUSY EXPERIENCE. We finally go to install our fishfinder‘s on our kayaks, and the first hiccup was that no hardware is included with this universal fishfinder mount. So we had to drill new holes into this to make the stainless steel screws that we had work in it. Second hiccup was the second mount we opened had no washer included. There are literally four pieces to this assembly and one was missing. You cannot even tighten it down without a washer, and we don’t have a stainless steel washer. So another halt in the process and more headaches to worry about. Very disappointed with Scotty. Revision: we reached out to Scotty and asked them to send us a stainless steel washer for the second unit, which they promptly did. So other than the fact that you need your own screws (which should be noted in their description) the customer service was great. Now we can mount to our kayak. Thanks Scotty.

Fits my Humminbird Helix 5

I bought my fish finder used but looking at the mounting bracket kit it doesn’t come with hardware to mount to these brackets. 10 minutes at Ace Hardware and 4 screws/washers/nuts later I’m ready to rock. This will be used on my float tube with the Scotty transducer mount. Highly recommend.

Works well

Using for my Garmin Striker 4+, works good and attaches no issue. This is my first scotty mount and only complaint is that you still require a base. I can kind of see the advantages to a separate base, but also means more money and would rather have this slide into the track on my Kayak

It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It clicks into a variety of Scotty bases so it's interchangeable with other Scotty products. All Scotty products are very well made. Shop around for price. My local fishing store is 30% cheaper.
