Easy to install. Great quality.

I used this to replace a lever type Schlage door handle. I was able to take off the inside handle, replace it with the round one without having to disassemble the entire lock. Two screws and it was finished. No need to rekey my door!

One minor glitch, but all in all, just what I wanted

I bought a smart deadbolt (Encode) and wanted the knob to match. I had it rekeyed at Home Depot for $5, so they take the same key. Easy installation. My one issue was that I needed to change the strike plate to the one with squared edges to match the door cutout. It was not easy to get the screwdriver into the slot to get the plate off; instructions were poor. Twisting the screwdriver bent the backplate. In hindsight, pushing the screwdriver harder (further) should have worked without twisting as the drawing in the instructions showed.

On set #4 in 15 years. Avoid if you have long term needs.

Everything about this lockset is fine EXCEPT: After a while, the latch won't freely retract when you close the door. It stays locked in position unless the the knob is turned. Once the knob is turned, it retracts just fine. I've tried lubricating it, diagnosing it, and fiddling with it to no avail. But this application is for a fire rated door to the garage. It has to always be closed. Without manually closing it, there is a fire safety risk. These will fail out of the blue with no advance notice. The only reason I replace it with the same product is because the style matches all the other knobs in the house and because it's keyed to match all the external doors. So replacing it is the least hassle. As I said, this is set #4. Set #3 lasted almost a full year. So if you're like me and there are reasons that make replacing like for like that best option. That's just the cost of upkeep. But if you have a choice, avoid this product unless you are prepping the house for sale.

Does the job!

I bought the knob from Amazon Warehouse deals. The knob was a tad scratched, which I was not expecting. It's not worth the effort to send it back. The photo of the Satin Nickel finish is misleading. It's not as warm a colour tone as the photo shows. Otherwise quite happy with the purchase.

Security and Peace of Mind!

The Schlage F51A PLY 619 Plymouth Keyed Entry Knob is not my first rodeo with Schlage products. While they are by no means the most expensive locks out there, they are not the cheapest either. I have now used their products for some time now because of their dependability, and how well they are made. This set was no different, and to top it all off, not a bad looking profile after being installed. I will keep purchasing Schlage in the future as long as they continue to offer me what I have come to expect in pricing, security and quality.

These were a great fit and look very nice on our new (to us) house's exterior doors. I ended up rekeying these with a kit that I purchased on here as well, which was an interesting project, but everything ended up going well after a bit of a learning curve. Installation was straightforward, as no redrilling was required; just remove the old lock assemblies, align and install these new assemblies, and admire your work. No visible wearing so far, despite frequent use with often dirty hands from working outside, so hopefully they will last a while.

Fit my old set

My current door knob set is 15 years old and the new door knob fit perfectly and easily. I looks great
