Skinny / Too tight

As someone who should wear wides, usually I find shoes half a size up accommodating. I saw many posts saying people didn't need "wides" with Salomon shoes. That cannot be true. My feet aren't even as wide as other family members who wear 4E, and yet even going a full size up, these still hurt my feet. I will have to see if I can find wides. Otherwise I may have to buy Merrells.

Snow-tastic

In the upper Midwest, these are a great choice for year round fun. Okay, I say that just having them a week in winter, but during the sloppy season, these have kept my feet nice and dry with adequate traction. They are a touch warm, but a lighter sock solved that.

Solomon Are The Best Shoes Ever

Gore-Tex Waterproof XA is truly the best shoe I've ever had. They'll last about 4 years and I work them hard.

Impossible to Find - 10-Year XA Pro 3D GTX Veteran

So glad I could find these. The XA 3D PRO V8 GTX are terrible. Have worn this model since 2010, this is my favorite of all. More durable and aggressive sole makes it for me. Also, the black/black color makes it attractive with everything. At first I thought they were counterfeit, because the Goretex logo is different than the 2019 production run - but if you check Salomon's website, their newer model hiking boots have this same logo (i.e. the diamond + Goretex instead of a line under Goretex). I also checked the sole cusions, looking for shoddy construction and they're definitely ortholites. The only interesting thing to note is that the actual sole specified "08042022" and my older ones from 2019 note "06052019" - I wonder if Salomon is producing these strictly for Amazon now (or at least in the UK)? I can't find them anywhere else.

Great shoes and these are my second pair!

Very good shoes. The old ones still keep the water out but having served me for two years are now used for gardening and car wash. Very comfortable and great out on walks whilst keeping your feet dry without noticeable weight. I have found that I need half a size up from my usual shoe size

You get what you pay for. Great shoes.

Use it for walking, hiking and occasional trail runs. Amazing shoes. But a tighter fit at first but they got worked in. Would definitely buy again

Great shoes

They were really stiff for running shoes but with a little break in period probably 3 days for several hours per day they became the best I have ever owned. I was really worried about them as they were making my feet really sore in the ball the arch but I thought let's keep trying and then I got broken in and the sole is stiff so I don't feel every rock but I do feel the terrain I am really pleased with the feel and fit and finish. I would recommend them if you have to the time and patience to break them in, if not I would surely pass, the reviews that talked about the toe box being a little tight well I would say that you haven't seated your heel correctly in the heel cup. I have wide feet and usually wear Keen or New Balance, I was worried about the toe box but after several weeks of runs, I can say that is a non-discussion point. Overall excellent shoes for the job at hand, trail running.

Everything is good about it. It's a narrow fit and I slipped many a times during a trek on a rainy day over a rocky terrain. I was hoping for lot better.
