Fit is nice but clearly had been worn before

The dress arrived balled up in a plastic bag. The smell of perfume was overwhelming. It had clearly been worn although the tags were still attached but folded. But I was in a jam and actually liked the way this dress looked on me so I hand washed it to get the heavy perfume smell out of the dress. I get that people return items but there is no way that dress was put in that bag without someone smelling the strong perfume. But I do like the dress.

Not truly petite.

It's very hard to find true petite women's clothing. Petite doesn't mean just the dress length. I'll have to adjust the shoulder seams to bring the neckline up as the torso is too long. Also I'll have to shorten the sleeves as they are too long as well. The overall style is very nice and the bead embellishments are very pretty.

A great dress

As others have said, this is a great dress. I am 5' 3" and 150 lbs, with extra weight around the middle. The size 12 regular was way too large for me all around, so I re-purchased in a size 10 petite. Perfecto! Sleeve length was good, dress went just about to the knee, and the shoulders were just right. The bust was a wee bit tight, but a more supportive bra took care of that. I found ironing directly on the nylon setting worked just fine. Hand washed after the even and dried flat as directed, it looks good as new.

Worried about online purchase but it was great!

Four days before my son's wedding, I realized the dress I was planning on wearing wasn't going to work. I never buy clothes online, but I was desperate so after reading the reviews I decided to try this dress. I am 5'8" and 165 pounds and the size 14 fit perfectly. I have very broad shoulders so I was a little worried about how the jacket part would fit. It worked great! I felt pretty and received many compliments. I am so glad I went with this dress for the wedding! Reading the reviews, there were several that mentioned the wrinkles and the instructions to not iron it. Yes, it arrived bundled up in an Amazon bag, and came out very wrinkled. However, I ironed it on the lowest setting of my iron, spritzed it with water, and it was fine!

Fits true to size

Fits a little big but a beautiful dress

The dress was very beautiful and looked as it was as in the photo. I ordered the dress for my mom. The only thing I would suggest is that the sizing could be easier. When I ordered the dress there was no where to chose a petite item which is what I wanted. The dress description was Petite or Regular but there is no where to choose. Which is why I had to have it altered. The dress was ordered for my son’s wedding. Thank you
