Rubbermaid folding step stool

This stool is very well made and is very sturdy. I use it to put behind our truck seat to pull-out and use as a step to get into our vehicle. It stores great behind the seat, folds fast and easy. I recommend this little folding stool. Does a great job. I feel safe when using it.

awesome step stool......

We have bought 4 of these now, we use 1 for our home inside and 3 in our vans to get up into them as I am older now and it helps me greatly. Also, i feel safe trusting the strength in holding me up as I'm about 235 Lbs. I searched for many many hours to find a good stepping stool....so I and very very happy with the soundness of this product...

Strong!

The last stool I had folded in the middle, and ended up cracking when I stepped on the handles—ridiculous design flaw. Rubbermaid has eliminated this problem by making the top of the stool one solid piece. I’m very pleased with this product.

The ONE PIECE top deck is a nice feature.

I chose this stool because of the ONE PIECE top deck. I've used similar stools with the more common 2 piece top deck and found they are not as strong or as durable as this 1 piece design. This is important for heavier folks with "full figures. The only negative is this design does not fold as compactly as the two piece deck models. It does fold flat but in a longer manner.

Plastic Step Stool to Help Me With...

OK, I don't know what you'll think of this, but my usage is probably not quite what most people would use this for... nope, it isn't for reaching ceiling fixtures or books off the top shelf. I've seen commercials for those squat toilet things that you rest your feet on while you're on the toilet... this helps you go #2 easier. I tried the idea out using one of the step stools we already had, and it worked really well... but, that step stool is brightly colored and doesn't go with our bathroom. I wanted something that would not be so noticeable and that I could easily store in our small bathroom. And, you're probably saying why didn't I just buy one of those squat toilet things?... well, my other family members didn't want to use it, and it would've been in their way. With a white, collapsible step stool, I can store it in the bathroom (it is so thin that it fits in the corner practically behind the toilet), and no one else (except people reading this review and who would somehow connect the review with me... and would actually be in our bathroom... which would pretty much be no one) would know what it was being used for. Plus, I can actually use it as a step stool... not just a squat toilet thing. The step stool is made of sturdy plastic, and it is easy to collapse (watch your fingers). It does seem like it can be somewhat of a hair magnet though, but I'm fine with that. Thankfully, the step stool I received did not have that distracting, red Rubbermaid logo on the side of it like what is currently shown in the picture... I'm not sure if they redid the design, but that red logo would've been a huge design mistake. I ordered this item with some other things from Amazon, and I was surprised at how small the box is that the step stool is packaged in... it was quite compact. So, if you want to reach light fixtures to dust them (I know you're probably not going to dust your light fixtures, but just pretend) or secretly have a squat toilet thing in your bathroom, then this is the step stool for you.

I use this as a footrest under my desk at the office and it works great. An extremely simple product, although not the most attractive (if it was available in more attractive appearances or colours it would be a 5-star rating), it does its job. It folds up nice and easy for transportation and can be used in universal ways. It's a good height, not too low, not too tall. I recommend.

An excellent sturdy stool if you don't mind paying a premium price. Great for rambunctious boys who jump on and off it, nice non-slip top. Folds up to a slim position - great for storing.

A great buy!

This stepstool is amazing! It is very sturdy and has rubber on the top and rubber feet so that you don't slip. Super lightweight. It is a little hard to unclip the top but I think it will get easier with use. I bought it to reach the top shelf in my closets and I'm so glad I did! A little pricy but so worth it!

The most stable folding stool out there!

I am so glad that I bought this! I did a lot of research and all other folding stools have folding platforms, which increase the risk for collapse (and falling/injury). This is the only one that has a solid platform! It's very sturdy and has grip on the platform, as well as grip on the legs. I am so happy with this purchase! It is a bit difficult to collapse, as the lock is quite tight when it is engaged (unfolded), but this is an okay tradeoff for me because it means that when it is unfolded, I know that it isn't going anywhere and will be super sturdy.

Sturdy and easy to store

What a great product. I like how the actual step is a solid piece and doesn't bend under my feet unlike other folding stools. The stool folds up fairly tall, however it's so thin that it fits between anything. I currently store it between my fridge and the wall in the kitchen. Such a great product, would highly recommend if need that little but of height from time to time!
