Better than built in

While these are better than the built in rod holders, they are a bit small to fit. Don't stay in very well. Perception should have thought these & the OE's a little more.

Great when storing your rods behind you on a kayak.

Makes it easier to put rods away espically if you have trouble turning around. I only wish they fit tighter in the factory perception kayak pole holders

Loose fitting

Holders are a little loose mounting. But I haven't had any issues with them falling out.

Poorly engineered and designed product. Doesn't fit properly in a Perception kayak

Bought this products as a way to correct the very shallow molded in rod holders on my Perception kayak. Although they were rather expensive compared to other rod holders, I figured that since they were a Perception product the fit would be perfect. Far from it. Very difficult to get into the molded openings and they holders do not go far enough in to be stable. I wound up cutting them town and installing on my kayak crate. There are much better and cheaper solutions than that. That said, the product is well made, tough and durable and accommodates the rods reasonably well they way that I installed them. Good looking product but not worth the price. I have to wonder why Perception just doesn't correct the underlying problem and make the molded-in holders deeper and more secure. There are lots of negative reviews online about their on-board holders. Fix the problem! Seems like an easy fix to me.

Fit Snug

Other people have posted these fishing rod holders do not fit tight. I bought two of these black holders for my Perception Hook 10.5 fishing kayak and they sure fit tight for me. Ignoring some of the reviews and buying these was a good decision ... for me.
