IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE ARE FOR...

...stay away from electricity or prepare to win a Darwin award. These gloves are meant to protect the rubber gloves worn underneath (which do the electrical protection) from melting, abrasions, and to generally make the rubber gloves last longer. The one star reviews I've seen are ignorant at best. Otherwise these are great leathers.
