Perfect for Timely Knock Down frames
I order these frequently when installed Timely knock down frames as the original strike plates often get lost on job sites by contractors and these perfectly fit my need. You can’t just run to Home Depot or Lowe’s and grab one of these. If you need an adjustable strike plate for a Timely door frame these will work and save you from having to source them or order them from a Timely Rep.

Perfect solution to the out of alignment door
This adjustable strike place solves misalignment problems in both directions, up and down and inside to outside. We had a door that never latched smoothly, and after removing and reinstalling it to install a modern bottom seal and new threshold, I could NOT get it to latch, no matter how I futzed with the hinges. The problem was that with the door properly plumbed in the opening, the latch and bolt were too low by so far, the bolt could barely operate and the latch would not engage at all. This adjustable door strike, being taller than the standard strike plate, solved that problem without the need to fill and relocate the old screw holes Because it's taller than the standard strike plate, I only had to use a chisel to enlarge the bottom of the mortise, then install the new plate in the existing upper screw hole and a new lower screw hole--far easier than having to fill the old screw holes with dowel like in the old days. But that's not all. This strike place is in two parts, An outer "clamp plate" that's open on one side and with slotted holes that permit adjustment in the inside to outside direction and are covered by the outer plate. I just had to chisel a bit from the inside of the mortise and adjust the strike plate to permit perfect, secure latching against the additional pressure of the new weatherstripping. .

All the door jambs I've encountered are not set up for this striker. Much larger than standard strikers, holes don't match, recess needs modification along with the depth of the mounting hole.

Nice but pricey
I purchased this to replace a brass door strike for my mother's guest bathroom. The door strike that came with her new doorknob did not fit the door frame. This was the only chrome door strike I could find at a somewhat reasonable price. I think it is overpriced, however.

NOT AN EASY REPLACEMENT
I bought these as I had replaced my exterior door handles with a bushed nickel (silver in color) and the matching door strike accompanying the handle was too small. So, I was just looking to replace the bronze colored striker on the door jam with the new color to match. Perhaps to make a break in harder this strike comes in two pieces and when I installed on two doors, on both occaisions the door wouldn't fully close. So, if you looking to simply replace, I would avoid these.

Hard to find, but Amazon had it! I was able to replace the missing door strikes on my fire doors. They fit perfectly.
