They keep water out of your eyes, mostly. What else do you need?
I've worn this exact same model of TYR goggles for nearly 30 years. They're more comfortable around the eyes than the "swedes" or non-padded goggles preferred by many people. I never liked those, so I've mostly stuck with these since early childhood swim team days. A different TYR model I had for a few years finally snapped on me a few weeks back, so I had to order some more. Sure, they melt and snap and wear out after too much sunlight or being left in a hot car or just from being used, same as any other goggles ... Mine I ordered last week arrived w/the strap already slightly pockmarked, so I wonder how long they'll last. If they don't make it at least a few years then something's definitely changed. ... I've had pairs of these last for years on end. They've changed up the design a little bit, removing the logo from the sides, and not leaving quite as much strap for adjustments as they used to have. But the fit is still pretty much the same. Good for a spare pare to throw in a bag, and nice that they come in clear, black, blue, etc if you want to adjust for swimming indoors or outside. If you dive or do diving starts from blocks, they do tend to come off a bit more than some other models, but I haven't done that in 20 years so I don't mind so much.

Cheapest is the best for me.
I swim 4 to 6 miles a week and these have always been my favorite goggles. I’ve tried other brands only to always find my way back to these. They’re comfortable and reliable. I use anti fog to make them last for months. Never again will I spend $20 & $30 for the latest in-thing. These cheap goggles work best for me. My only complaint is the very thin head strap. It wears out fast. However, I use a better quality head strap I scavenged from another expensive pair. I always keep an extra brand new pair ready to go.

No leakage
The suction power was not as good as I had hoped. After 2 weeks of using these goggles they started to leak. I had to purchase a different goggle and these were a waste.

The only goggles that work for me
I've been told I have big eyes. I've been wearing this style for 30 years, through recreational swim leagues, year-round swimming, 2 a day swim practices, meets, through dives, sprint races, and distance. I tried a few times to switch to the hip looking smaller googles, but they always leaked. These are tried and true for me. I suction them on gently, and they're great. They don't fog up, and they don't leak. I took a break from swimming for several years, then ordered these. Maybe the bridge of my nose changed shape or size, but one side of the nose piece was poking me. I trimmed it with scissors, and they're perfect. Not the coolest looking, but functional.

It changed!!
Why mess with perfection? I've been wearing these goggles for literally 30 years, from a 9 year old age grouper to a 39 year old masters swimmer. I bought a pair here a year ago and they fit like always. In that year the strap broke and I replaced it with a bungee. They are still going strong but the lenses are a bit scratched and cloudy (no big deal it's been a year). I went on here to reorder because I wanted a new clear pair for a meet. I ripped open the box, adjusted the nose piece and strap and tried them on. And they pinched the skin around my eyes in a new and weird way. Why aren't these as comfortable as they usually are? I examined them to check to see if there was something different and there was! They changed the shape of the gasket! It now has these squared off corners that dig into my skin! Compare my picture to the other reviewers pictures. The suction seems ok but the old version I could press into my eyes without the strap and they'd stay up. These now pop off. I gave it 2 stars because the old version is excellent but this one blows. Why mess with perfection?

Best Goggles for the Price
I've been competing in triathlon since 1995. I've tried a variety of goggles over the years, and being a money conscious person, I'm not willing to spend an arm and a leg on goggles. The TYR Racetech goggle has been my go-to goggle for good reasons: They fit my face well, they do not leak, they last as long as any other goggle, and they are reasonably priced. Another nice feature these goggles offer is that they come in a variety of colors/tints. I have the smoke for sunny days, but the blue work well for varied lighting conditions (pool included), and the clear are nice for pool or low light conditions as well. If you are on the fence, lean toward the TYR Racetech goggles and give them a go. If you like them, you probably won't go back. If you don't like them, well, you didn't spend a ton to give them a try.

Comfortable, inexpensive swim goggles.
After using speedo goggles exclusively, I tried a set of Tyr goggles. This is the third Tyr I've bought. The other two I have are smoked for sun protection, but I wanted a clear pair for better vision for indoor pool use. I found all three pairs to be more comfortable than the speedo goggles, and I especially recommend the Racetech because it has the adjustable nose piece. I found that the soft, flexible eye gaskets create a good, comfortable "suction" fit to my eye sockets without the need for a very tight headband. If you get these, try a looser fit on the headband (just snug but not really tight) and I think you will be surprised how comfortable they can be. Everyone's face is different, but these work great for me and they are inexpensive. The anti-fog feature seems to work well.

Casting for silicone Gasket Changed
As you will find in the recent reviews, many of us have had issues with the goggles leaking. The mold for the silicone gasket has been changed radically. The picture no longer matches what is currently being shipped. The only good thing I can say about the current product is the strap is slightly thicker and may last longer. I transferred the old gasket to the new body and will go to a sporting store to find a new go to product when a replacement is needed.

Uncomfortable, poor quality
Uncomfortable and leak. Not suitable for regular use, e.g. twice a week. Bought these to replace my worn out Nest Pros but they don't do the job. Have since spent the extra $15 for Nest Pros.

TYR are the best goggles around
I use TYR Racetech goggles. I've been fortunate, in the past, to have every make of goggles sent to me for testing. TYR Racetech are the only goggles that never leak or fog. They are comfortable to wear and extremely clear. During a 5,000m session they never need adjusting, never leak and never mist.

Comfort and perfect fit
Fits my face perfectly . The elastic band though doesn't last very long.
