Perfect strike for my metal screen door frame.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect solution for securing my screen door to the metal frame. Dogs and cats were letting themselves out the screen door. The latch is fairly small but very sturdy. I drilled holes in the aluminum frame and used the screws provided but one broke off in the hole and I had to use needle nose pliers to back the screw out. Off to the hardware store for more screws. I had not drilled the screw holes large enough and when I did have sufficiently large holes in the metal frame the screws went right in and are very secure even though there is no wood behind the door frame. The latch strikes are so small that even tho 2 came in the package one of the two disappeared before I could attach the strike to the second door frame so I had to order another set. Highly recommend!

Perfect replacement for a broken screen door latch strike

The measurements in the listing are very accurate, so, if these strikes are suitable for the latch on your screen door, they should work. They feel very sturdy (time will obviously tell about that), and it was very easy to install one using the holes from the old strike. It wasn't clear from the description, but the package includes four screws (two for each strike).

Simple and effective

I needed a replacement latch and wasn’t sure if this one would work with my screen door since the old one was half broken off. Well, luckily it worked great and only cost a couple bucks. Seems like it is primarily meant for the screen door mechanism that lifts vertically to latch.
