They don't connect with many standard rods

Bought these because I have corner windows in my house and I wanted to connect the rods at the corners. I bought several sets of rods in succession, trying to find some that would connect with the screw ends of these connectors. Two of those sets I bought should have worked, and they were even suggested by Amazon as compatible, but the threads on the corner connectors are different than those of the curtain rods. I eventually gave up on them as I didn't have time to search for curtain rods that would fit them. These might work okay if you used wooden dowels as curtain rods and just drilled holes for the connectors to screw into.
