I hate chemistry.

I hate chemistry. I also hate spending money on services that require I do work - like locking my dogs up so the pool cleaner person can do their job. I delegated... and my husband decided to over chlorinate over the winter. You know, when algae doesn't even grow. Flash forward a few months, it's springtime, and the chlorine reads are off the chart and my overly sanitized pool has depleted every microscopic drop of PH in my pool. It's a literal pool of acid. I hit the interwebs, cross check against Chat GPT (Bing, really, if I'm honest) - says I need to balance the PH first and the chlorine will follow suit. I hit my favorite solution-bringer, Amazon, for the solution, found this puppy. There were assumptions to be made here - I don't know what the base units are, for example, but I can guess. I need to bring the PH up in increments of tenths so, we'll call each tenth a "unit" and see where we land. I go one "unit" at a time - we're back to normal PH in less than a day. Now I'm waiting on the aerators to do their job so I can drop that hospital-grade sanitizer level down to something swimmable before the boys come back from their mom's... five stars, would buy again.

We have a hot tub and a separate swim spa. We are always balancing them. The bags are nice and they close easily. They are just good and dependable.

We have a small 4ft pool and I added the increaser. It says Able to test in an hour it was about 24 hours when I did mine and there was no change in the pH. Could possibly be I didn’t add enough as the directions don’t give a clear cut for an amount to use. Also have something to stir with as it says to dissolve it in water before adding and when you add it to the water it clumps up so you definitely need something to stir with
