Quality Product

I cannot get over the value for the price. I typically wind up spending > $100 for an article like this from some big name brand outdoor clothing store. This time I took a change and ordered this product not expect much. I was super surprised at how good it is. Keeps me plenty warm and handles multiple washings without shrinking or losing shape. It is very hard to find good outdoor clothing for plus size women. I highly recommend that you try this if you typically wind up buying a men's size like I have had to do at times. I also got the matching pants which were just as good as the top.

Sleeve width enormous

The fabric seems great and like it is a great base layer! Sizing is a little off. I wanted something snug and it was ok (a little loose) in my chest/waist/shoulder area. However, the sleeves were for extremely "girthy" arms. My arms are huge by the way. But you could fit at least 2 of my arms in there. Returning and going to try non-plus version. In all fairness, I am wide but petite and so maybe for an overall big and tall person (vs big and small), this could work very well.

Great under layer

I ordered a 1X, (5' tall, 200lbs) and they fit a little loose even after washing and drying in machine a few times. I'm fine with this as I didn't want them skin tight. A bit long in sleeves (everything is on me) but I like that it's long enough to tuck in. Very warm to me, (40 yrs in Miami, FL now northern VA) as I'm still acclimating to different weather. There is enough wool in it to keep you warm but inner layer is not scratchy at all to me. Actually warmer than mid weight set from LLBEAN and much less expensive. Good deal all around.

Warm, soft, light, attractive

I love this top. And the bottoms that go with it. It is extremely versatile. Of course you can wear it as a base layer as intended and it is soft, not scratchy. But I wear it on top of a long sleeve tee shirt. If needed I put a sweater over it, but often I use it as a sweater. Honestly, it can be worn as the worlds lightest warmest sweater. I'm going in and out all day and need to be able to easily take it off indoors. The scoop neck is very attractive, too. I put the bottoms on right over my knit leggings. This set does NOT look like long johns. The black color is stylish and layers well with other garments.

Winter Hiking necessitiy

Used to be a fan of cuddle duds but they seem to have changed where they manufacture that brand. This company produces a quality winter shirt great for outdoor hikes and skiing. I have now switched to buying primarily from this company as it is a necessity to have a dependable winter undergarment when when is hiking in frigid temperatures. It is lightweight but durable. The Only brand that I trust my winter outdoor safety to

Kept me warm for autumn camping!

Unlike the ColdPruf bottoms/pants (which seem to run large), I found that the tops run true to size. Not super soft, but great for the price. I wore this top over a tank for two nights camping in 40-50 degree (F) weather and stayed warm both nights. Not super form-fitting, so it wouldn't be a great base layer beneath tighter tops, but works great over tanks or tees, or beneath looser tops or sweaters.

Nice under layer

In the picture this looks like a form fitting shirt but it doesn't snug your body at all. I ordered one size up since it looked form fitting because I like a little looser than tight and unfortunately it was too large. The material is thinner than expected but will make a nice under layer that keeps you warm. It does say it has 30% wool which should help in keeping warm as an under garment.

Fabric not as pictured

The photo shows a nice deep purple but what arrives is a dark lilac heather with a kind of fuzziness to it that reminds me of pyjamas. Disappointing. I typically buy lots of these base layers to wear either alone or under sweaters but this one will have to be worn with a sweater, that's for sure. It's warm, though. The dual layer fabric is going to be great for mid-winter and it's really soft and comfy feeling, but because of the appearance, I won't order any more.
