BPA Free!! Built to last!
Update: We have about 20 of these cups and been using them every single day for eight years. They still look like they are brand new. We have since bought a different dishwasher and they fit in that one just fine. Since they are so durable and sturdy and have lasted this long, I am upgrading it to a five star review. So many things are not good quality anymore and they’re not built to last, but these definitely are! I can’t even believe we have had them that long already but my original review was in 2013. Original Review: I bought these cups because they are BPA free and also because they won't break if we drop them on the tile floor. They are a good size and nice and sturdy. The shape is easy to hold and we haven't had any problems with them. I love that they are made in the USA, dishwasher safe, and made from recycled materials. What I don't like about them (and why I only gave them 4 stars) is because they are oddly shaped at the top. It is just a little too wide to fit correctly in the dishwasher and also to fit 4 side by side on the 4 prongs on our dish drainer. To get them in the dish washer, there is one section in the middle of the edge rows of the top rack where they fit through and then we have to slide them back or forward in that row in order to be able to get another one in. What a pain when you want to load and unload quickly. Also they each have a little dip on the bottom of each cup(when upside down) so it fills with water in the dishwasher and that remains even after the drying cycle. You have to dry that off first with a towel or the water gets all over the rest of the dry dishes since we can't lift them straight up and out.

Held Up Well....But is BPA-Free Any Safer?
I looked all over for this size plastic cup w/o BPA. Bought some in blue and green. My son uses them regularly. In the six months we've had them they have held up well. They come through the dishwasher without any discoloration or film, which is more than I can say for the last set we had made by another brand. (We use Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day dishwasher packets. Also highly recommended.) They aren't too wide and should fit in any size top rack dishwasher. If washing by hand, they are wide enough to get in and give a good scrub. While perhaps too big for a toddler's hand, they are fine for the 5-6+ crowd. Update: it is now April 2014, and these babies look brand new. For this I give them four stars. I have to deduct one because it has come to my attention that we simply do not know if these BPA-free cups are any safer than BPA containing plastics. And that's the whole reason for buying them, right? I'm making the switch to glass/stainless steel after reading an article in The Atlantic ("Beyond BPA: Could 'BPA-Free' Products Be Just as Unsafe?") that talked about how there is no regulation of BPA-free plastics. We simply have no idea whether they contain endocrine disruptors. "What all this means is that while U.S. federal policy supports alternatives to BPA--and we're using products containing these new materials at increasing volume--we actually know very little about them and lack a system that would provide independent assessment of new materials before they're in our homes. With demand growing for safe plastics, it's clear that we need a better and more proactive way of ensuring their safety--and ours."

Great Every Day Cups, Especially for Kids
This is a great option for every day use, especially for kids. The plastic is BPA-free, and feels substantial in the hand. While it's sturdy and thick, it's got just enough flex to be pretty much unbreakable. It's subtly weighted, and doesn't tip easily, even when full. Since it's textured, it provides a good grip for kids with smaller and weaker/inexperienced hands. Our 3 year old can handle the cup with one hand, but it doesn't feel too small for larger hands. Since it is dishwasher safe, washing is a breeze, and the cups stack well so you can minimize their footprint in your cupboard. Packaging is pretty minimal, which is both eco-friendly and low frustration. The packaging is that round front label, and two pieces of tape to hold the cups together. It's secure, but the tape peels off without damaging or leaving residue. The tape tells you to reuse the cups, and not toss (which I would hope was self evident), or return it to them and they will. Not sure how that works, but since the cups have weathered the elements (my daughter left one on the deck on a nice day, and it sat there through several days of rain before we rescued it), gone through many cycles in the dishwasher, and have been run through the paces with toddlers galore, and manage to look new, these won't need to be recycled or returned any time soon.

Just plastic cups but nice ones.
On the one hand I ask myself WHY bother writing a review about a simple plastic cup. On the other, I know the answer; it brings my autistic son great pleasure. My boy refuses to use any other color than blue when he has his chocolate milk or his tea. But he also doesn't wash the dishes and so he needed more than one of them. He really likes them, whether for his milk, his tea, his juice or water or even his root beer. So what's not to love? These appear to be pretty well made and are a nice color of blue. They should last a long time and they were delivered in a timely fashion with no surprises of any kind.

Really enjoy using these
First off, I stack these upside down because they can be a little top heavy when empty. That's my only negative - they are a great style, perfect size, nice popping green color that hasn't faded or anything at all, and the completion is nice & smooth. I've had similar cups that can slice a lip off, but these are really great!
