These work to avoid copper pipe inside corrosion

I have been using these for 7 years now with no problems with my copper plumbing. It was recommended by a water chemist. I get about 2 years out of each one, with 2 people living in this house.

A poor mans water softener

A poor mans water softener. Makes the water taste better, and fights internal to copper pipe corrosion issue related to high pH.

Phosphate filter (additive)

I use these on the cold water supply side of my Noritz tankless hot water heaters to reduce mineralization within the heat exchanger. I generally change them once per year and there is always phosphate remaining in the cartridge.

Disappointed this time

Bottom of 3 of the 4 snap tabs were broken. Had to tape them down with packing tape, don't know if that will last. Wish I has thought about taking the top off the old cartridge...duh.

Chemical water treatment.

Good product, has been around for years. This is not a filter cartridge, but a slow phosphate release cartridge. There should always be a filter ahead of it to ensure proper function. 30 micron is sufficient.
