Snow blower replacement

Bought this to replace the broken belt on my Craftsman 42 inch blower mounted on my lawn tractor. It replaces part #49662 at less than half the cost. Only had the chance to use it once so far but it did fine blowing a heavy wet sloppy snow. I'm happy with this substitute, I'm sure the 258-114 would work too and maybe go on a bit easier. I also chose this one because I could get it fast when snow was predicted in a couple days.

I like this a lot

It appears to be a very good belt. I put it on my Gravely snow blower and it does its job. It did seem to be a bit smaller than the original belt so I had to adjust the machine to accept it. Maybe the thickness makes it ride higher in the pulleys. Update: After 1 hour of use the belt flipped off of the pulley system and will not stay on after I reattach it. I think the belt is so sturdy that it cannot make two 90 degree sideway turns in 8 inches. What I need is a weaker more flexible belt for my situation. Now I'm scrambling to find a replacement before more snow comes this week.

somewhat disappointed

The belt was advertised as a "Stens" brand belt, what I received was some sort of generic. It fit my machine, (exmark laser 60) but has flipped over in the mule-pulley twice now. I'm hoping that it will break in and seat properly. I've always been told that only an O.E.M. exmark belt will work properly and was really just experimenting to find a less expensive alternative.

The belt broke the second time I cut my yard. The factory exmark belt lasted a long time. Not Happy with this at all. and I missed the Amazon 30 day return window by a couple days. What a RIP OFF. I had one of these belts on my old mower and it was good. I think it was defected but it doesn't matter I still lose...
