These are under sized
Let's start by saying that I'm not a novice. I've been working on heavy equipment for 45 years. I've had this mower deck for almost 25 years and it needed new spindle bearings. While I was at it I noticed that, the belts needed replacing again for the 3rd time. I expect that when I buy an 85 inch belt that, it is close to 85 inches not, off by 7/8" or 3/4". I bought 2 (5VX850) belts to work on my trail behind mower deck. Both belts came under sized for OEM belt size 85". I then ordered the next size larger (5VX860) 86". They too were under 85". I gambled that they would be close enough in size to work on my deck. I was able to use them (the 5VX860) even though they were still shorter than what I needed. With these "larger" belts I was able to get them onto the pulleys. They were very tight going on. They needed no adjustment after installing. This was very aggravating to say the least. Given that cost was 1/3 that of a more notable brand I will consider using D&D again. JUST BE AWARE that, the sizes might be off. As of this post ( over 2 months later)they seem to be doing well. I will edit if these belts don't hold up.
