Works as intended!

Unlike many similar items, it's not too soft, not too stiff, not too thick, not too thin., not too cheap . . I've only used it a dozen or so times, so I can't speak to its long term ruggedness, but so far it seems great, and I have no reason to think that will change.

It’s plastic….

Actually it is nylon and good for cast iron cooking, along with wood it is good to use because it will not scratch the coating like a metal one will. So far it is good and is holding up well, feels good in hand and is not flimsy like a few others I have used.

Good Enough

I bought this spatula specifically for gravy making to break up the roux easier if it clumps and it has done the job so far but the very first time using it, it started to melt while whisking it so its not like I left it sitting in a hot pan. The plastic melted off into my gravy which I had to start over which that is the main reason for the 4 stars, the first use had melted plastic which did suck.

Husband

My husband is the main cook in our relationship-ship. He had purchased this product some where and wanted another but could not remember where he had purchased. I went on line and was pretty sure I found the item on Amazon. So I ordered. Was exactly what he was looking for. A Happy husband ( chef) happy wife. In the past he has bought several different spatulas and until this one made by OXOX, Her was never happy.

Different than the old slotted ones

This is the same size and shape as the older slotted version but is made of a stiffer plastic. Its not near as flexible and feels like it may snap. It also feels more brittle and a little thinner. If I had seen it in store, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. I did however make a grilled cheese with it and it seemed to do fine … until the cheese melted. It’s terrible to try to clean mid cooking. Everything sticks in the holes. I also ordered a different Turner called: OXO Good Grips Silicone Everyday Flexible Turner in the event that I didn’t like this one. It hasn’t arrived yet but may be a better solution. I’ll update when I’ve used that one.

Annoying to clean holes

Should have gone for the slatted one. These holes are SO annoying to clean especially with something like egg. You have to individually clean each hole, otherwise junk gets left behind. The good news is even when food is crusted on, it doesn’t take a crazy amount of strength and effort to clean it off.

As strong as an all metal one.

I've recently acquired three pots and pans based on granite technology. While I already had nylon stirring and mixing tools, I needed similar spatula for easier flipping of eggs in such without scratching the surface. This one is larger than I expected, but better that than too small. Being nylon, it's easy to clean.

Does the job

I had a silicon spatula, which I found way too grippy. It was difficult to side it under most foods because the food would simply grab hold of it. But this is much better. I'm happy with my purchase.
