Good choice

I took a roller skate to my nose in a roller derby bout and broke it. I didn't want any down time after I got it set so I bought this nose guard. It fits my face just fine, protects my nose and has added a bit more confidence to my game knowing my face is protected. It does collect the sweat from my face at the points where the mask sits directly on my skin, so I am wiping my face more often. My depth perception while looking behind me, where the games of roller derby is played, behind me, was thrown off the first few times I wore it, but now I'm used to it will have no problem wearing the rest of the time that I need to. I like this product and would reccommend it to my teammates and others who need to protect their nose during the healing process.

No visibility for sports

Definitely blocks your nose and protects it. The cushioning allows the plastic to now fall right on the nose, so if you do get hit, it wont hit the nose. Only thing is that it blocks your visibility. So if you play a sport and have to look down, you cannot see your feet or maybe where a basketball would be. For sports this isnt good, but for regular protection these are great.

Mueller Nose Guard

We purchased the Mueller Nose Guard after being recommended by a Mayo Clinic Sports Med Doc. It was not available at any retailer in our medium-sized city, or at the Mayo Store. Worked really well for our 16 year old son who needed it to play 7 on 7 football during the summer after breaking his nose batting in a JV baseball game. Fit the bill for him to a T, stayed on well during active moves on the football field. One of the few drawbacks was the color of the padding...not flesh tone. Great protection for under $50.

Mueller Nose Guard

Works great for my daughter. We added some moleskin around bottom foam area which helped to make it fit without rubbing her nose. The bands could use and additional fastener further up the strap to prevent having to cut the strap or tape the strap for sizing. Also it would be great if the top head single strap were two straps coming down. This would allow for girls with buns or ponytail hairstyles. Currently she has to wear her hair in a side poneytail

Nose Guard

After a severe nose break I use this in Jiu-Jitsu class and it works great. It is worth every penny as I already sustained a major hit right to the middle of the guard and it protected my broken nose perfectly ! The straps seem to get loose after a few rounds but that may just be the way I am using it. I would recommend this to anyone with a broken nose or to avoid a broken nose...

Go custom if you can

We needed something quickly so my son could play in his next college soccer match. As some of the other reviews noted, it was difficult for him to see the ball at his feet while looking up or forward. A customized guard would have brought the face shield closer to his cheekbones, which is where the vision is blocked. However, if you need something in a pinch and want good protection for a broken nose, feel free to buy this product.

good product for the price

My son broke his nose last month during a soccer game. We had it reset and he was allowed to go back to play as long as he wore a nosegaurd. We purchased the Mueller nose guard and he has been wearing it for the past month. It has worked quite well. This nose gaurd is a good product for the price. The only negative is some sight limitations while wearing it.

Perfect for roller derby

I broke my nose and needed a face mask to protect myself when I started practicing again and then when I got back into bouts. This product worked perfectly for me. It is completely comfortable and by simply taking out the front padding of my helmet it fit fine. Not unexpected in such a contact sport I did get hit in the face, but was absolutely protected. In fact, in one incidence I was utterly fine and the girl who had come in to hit me ended up with a bruise on the side of her face from where she came into the mask. And even with getting gross and sweaty I never found the mask to slip or be uncomfortable.

Good protection but next to useless for football

Bought after I injured my nose playing football and was recommended to wear a protective nose guard. This is a pretty hopeless product if you're using this to play football (I can't comment on use in other sports). The clear plastic protective shield interferes with line of sight when looking left, right and straight down - it warps your vision, as if you're looking through a magnifying glass. Not sure why the manufacturer made it so wide. If you're going to spend the whole time looking straight forward it's fine. The cheek pads are so thick you can't see the ball at your feet. Overall, very disappointed and returning for a refund.

Fabulous mask for costume design

These masks are brilliant; and I've probably bought 5 in the last month. I make costumes for dancers and they are a fantastic solid base on which to build fantastical designs; and because of their robust build and padding they stay on firmly and are comfortable to wear, even while the dancer is performing routines with lots of rapid head moves.

Would not recommend wearing for football as view is restricted

I bought this for a teenage lad who had a broken nose that wanted to play with his football team would not recommend for anyone who plays football it's a waste of money the lad took it off after five minutes on the pitch due not being able to see the ball due to the pads under the eyes were in the way for his vision

It does its job

This item is doing its job as I was expecting. It isn't the most comfortable thing to wear but I am handling it very well. I wear it when I play football and it affects my peripheral vision, making the dribbling more difficult. In the overall, and considering the price, I think it's worth to buy it and use it during the first months after a broken nose.
