Not enough information from the manufacturer.

I thought after I had copied down the info stamped on the bar (an Oregon brand bar) that it would be easy to find chain for it. I was so innocent! The chain does not fit, its 7-8 links too long even at the furthest bar adjustment. Just placing it on a table next to my current chain it was obviously incorrect. It also didn't match up with the drive sprocket spacing. All good, I thought, I'll return it and try to figure out what I did wrong, or speak with a human about it. But when I went to return it, I was shunted to an AI who did not resolve the issue. Then I tried a human on the phone. I got some nice young person from India who ended up telling me that the seller didn't want any returns. I'll get my money back, but this is a brand new chain, unused in the original packaging. Somebody could use this. Somebody SHOULD use this. I have to say that this was the worst customer service experience I've ever had with Amazon. Now I know never to attempt to buy this kind of thing on Amazon. As for the AI assistant....useless as tits on a boar hog.
